    The Eastside Boxing Post War Divisions Rankings

    Rules

    1. A fighter must of had a world title fight after 1945.
    2. Resume pre 1945 will count
    3. Ranking is based on a points system. 10 points to No.1, 9 points to No.2 etc etc
    4. Only a fighters resume in that paticular weight class will count.
    5. For classic divisions 25 votes are needed and the ranking will be listed. For new divisions 10 votes are needed.
    6. Once it has been posted add your list to the tally and type the total score in the thread. If you don't add you list to the score you vote won't be counted.


    Heavyweight
    1. Muhammad Ali 233
    2. Joe Louis 215
    3. Larry Holmes 170
    4. Lennox Lewis 169
    5. George Foreman 148
    6. Joe Frazier 114
    7. Rocky Marciano 96
    8. Evander Holyfield 76
    9. Mike Tyson 63
    10. Sonny Liston 37

    I'd swap Holyfield with Tyson and Foreman with Marciano....

    Floyd Patterson number 3, really? Other than get crushed by the best what did he really do? How can Liston not be in if he is?

    you changed that title pretty quickly beacuse I was going to mention with the likes of Sullivan and Johnston

    Greatness so resume, performance etc not who you think would win.

    Foreman and Frazier are definitely higher than Patterson (maybe others but need more time to think about that)......

    Rob - you really do love a list.

    My HW knowledge isn't amazing, but your list looks about right Rob. Interesting to see what everyone else comes up with.

    A lot of Louis' best work was pre WW2, if it was all time he'd be number 2. Also, I don't see how anyone could have Patterson so high yet not have Liston in the top 10.

    Are you including Louis' pre-war work as well then? Without it he's not the no.2 HW IMO.

    the Criteria is they have to have had a world title fight after 1945. There previous resume will count.
