PRIME Vitali vs PRIME Tyson ? WHO Wins?

every time someone mentions Prime Tyson within 1 round I have to step in and pop the bubble by refreshing the memories:

And although Tysons KOloss has been described as one of the most shocking upsets in modern sports history it was NOT a fluke: It was because Iron Mike Tyson was in reality Tiny Mike Tyson (510)

Lets check what happened when Tyson met
BETTER+TALLER (i.e. > 63)opponents:

First time Mike met a taller+better opponent:
·Mitch Green (65.0) > UD10
Second time Mike met a taller+better opponent:
·James Bonecrusher Smith (64.0) > UD10
Third time Mike met a taller+better opponent:
·Tony Tucker (65.0) > UD12
Fourth time Mike met a taller+better opponent:
·Buster Douglas (63.5) > Tyson gets KOed
Sixth time Mike met a taller+better opponent:
·Lennox Lewis (65.0) > Tyson gets KOed
Seventh time Mike met a taller+better opponent:
·Kevin McBride (66.0) > Tyson gets KOed

Now, what he achieved career-wise DESPITE his size is remarkable. But to claim that he would beat every opponent within 1 round (including modern heavyweights like ·vitali Klitschko) is simply ignorance of his CAREER FACTS.

The ONLY time Tyson scored a knockout against a taller+better opponent was against ·Lou Savarese (46-6). But that was some strange KO (Tyson was lucky he wasnt disqualified) and Savarese came from a loss after a 1-year-layoff. So its hardly a proof for Tyson, the Goliath-killer.

Lets also quote a trainer who has eyewitnessed both Tyson and Klitschko:

Punch for punch I think Klitschko probably hits a little bit harder but Mikes much more explosive.

Tyson struggled with guys much worse than vitali, such as Bonecrusher Smith. If klit employed his hugging style he would have a chance of decisioning him. Tyson is smaller and weaker than Peter, and so klit would have an even easier time controlling him in the clinches. Tyson always had trouble with a god jab, even Larry Holmes, who was in the worst professional shape of his life (coming off a two year layoff with no warmup) gave him some trouble for a few rounds with the jab.

vitali also has probably the greatest chin in hw history!!.

Tyson was the product of careful matchmaking and a great hype machine; a man who was too reliant on intimidation for his success He never fought Riddick Bowe, Lennox Lewis, Evander Holyfield in his prime or even a comebacking George Foreman. That tells you something Tyson was unproven in his prime.

Look at the cab drivers and crack wh*res Tyson was knocking out to get a title shot I mean what big name did he beat? A 38 year old Larry Holmes!?? A small and rusty Michael Spinks?! If people are gonna say Rocky Marciano knocked out a past-it Joe Louistake a long hard look at devastating Tysons early opponents.

Vitali was hard for LENNOX LEWIS to hit square due to his awkward lean back style. You have to figure Tyson with his short arms, short reach, and affinity for nailing people in the head would have trouble with Vitali's low guard and leaning back to avoid punches.

On offense Vitali is a monster, he has a decent jab, great right cross, and good upper cut.

Tyson liked to flurry and go to the body some and Vitali's style just doesn't fit for that kind of fight. Certain fighters gave Tyson hell, the tall fighters who can box, take a shot, and have the ability to win on points.

Tysonistas would like to believe that somehow at age 23 Mike's (referring to his prime and the douglas debacle)
skills quite suddenly declined to a shadow of what they'd been only months earlier, never to return.

The fact is that someone exploited all of the weaknesses that Tyson had in the ring and proved that Tyson was a good but limited heavyweight who could be dominated and KTFO.

Tyson was underprepared in Tokyo, but he was still the fighter he was a few months earlier in his fine KO of Williams.
He just had no answers for a big, tall heavyweight with an excellent stiff jab and top boxing abilities.

Vitali. The first few rounds would be very scrappy and Vitali would be happy to mix it up. Tyson would give it his all and eventually start to fade after around 5-6 rounds and Vitali would take control, with a good chance of a knockout.

The American Media (and many Americans) like to dismiss Vitali's and wlads greatness, saying that the heavyweight division at the moment is stale and Vitali is the best out of a bad bunch. It's funny how the American Media have also hyped up Tyson as one of the greatest boxers ever when realistically Tyson has beaten nobody of any significance whatsoever.

Question: What does Roy Jones Jr, Mike Tyson, Joe Calzaghe and Vitali Klitschko all have in common?

A: They have all been accused of making a name for themselves by fighting bums.

Now the difference between Jones Jr, Tyson, Calzaghe and Vitali is that the American Media claims that Jones Jr and Tyson (both American) are two of the greatest boxers ever, whereas, Calzaghe and Vitali (both European) are overrated.

These are four of my favourite fighters of all time, and I consider all four of them to be legends in this sport, and I definitely don't need the American Media to tell me who is or isn't worthy of greatness.

most would easily count out klits and as much as i love mike, the thing is mike never performed well against a high caliber opponent. Tyson was a monster in 1988, but even then he struggled to hurt guys like Bonecrusher Smith, Tony Tucker and Mitch Green. Klitschko could do everything those guys could do and more, plus punch more fluidly.

you really think Prime Tyson would get in the ring with vitali Seriously? Dude was afraid of 44 year old foreman, never fought bowe, never fought Lewis. Anyways, Tyson would get frustrated as hell against prime Wlad, he hit hard, but prime Tyson wasnt experienced or mature enough in the ring to handle vitali, id expect some point deductions as he'd get frustrated taking hits trying to get inside and then being held and then have 255 lbs resting on him. we all know prime vitali would destroy tyson.

First 3-5 rounds it would be a war, but the rest of the fight Vitali beats Tyson. Late TKO or UD Vitali!

I have to say that a prime Vitali fighting life and death with a semi retired, rusty Lennox Lewis, does not fill me with confidence that he could do any better with a peak Tyson.
Let's not forget were talking peak Tyson. You can pick Mike's resume apart, but only people who were too young to see him are the ones that tend to do that. Because even if the division was'nt the best in the 80's, it was a damn sight better than the current one.
Vitali would put up a good show because the man comes to fight, but IMO Tyson would stop him either by TKO or cuts stoppage, at the very least a UD.
Remember Klitschko fanboys, this is an opinion, not an assault on your beloved Ukrainien.

The people who say Tyson would fade after five rounds are obviously forgetting were talking about a prime Tyson. When did this version ever fade after five rounds?

what a joke Prime Tyson would Beat Vitali no Doub this Robot Style is a joke for Tyson Vitali is to slow for Prime Tyson and Vitalis Defends is very Open .
Prime Tyson was very Fast and a Powerfull combination Punscher he would land of him Murder hooks and Powerfull Uppercuts and TKO him no Doub.

The fight would never happen. Vitali would fail to get past the era's contenders to even get into championship consideration.
If by some miracle or Mob manipulation the fight did happen in Tyson's Pre-Givens period, Vitali lasts 2 rds before suffering a devastating KO.:deal

Neither sister has the movement, speed, or agility to keep off a prime Tyson. Nor the defense to not absorb many terrible blows of bad intention.
Plus, both would be scared shitless if they ever found themselves looking across the ring at a prime Mike Tyson. :yep

LOL! Vitali wouldn't even fight Tua. TYSON? Sheeeeeeeeeeet
