Pac's footwork is better than Floyd's if you take into account the speed at which he can move around the ring and not just technical placement. Pac is lighter on his feet than Floyd and practically floats around the ring.

Fact is that Pac is not scared to take a shot or two, and if he was he would get hit a lot less. That also means he is not afraid to let his hands go. If he was he would have a higher connect %.

 

Floyd can fight effectively in the pocket and the outside and his footwork assists in placing him in the proper position.

Pac's footwork has helped him defense-wise but he has trouble using it to cut off the ring. That is where the placement makes a factor
