He was hurt in the Fight whit Barros. Gamboa was not down, but he his legs are gone for 30 seconds. I was live in the arena. That was after a Uppercut.

So if he is a hyped, what do you need more than Solis? A hyped is a hyped, and Solis being a solid professional should b enough to expose a hyped job.

Yup. Could very well be another episode of Shattered Glass.

    Gamboa has no Chin. None.

some people are too obsessed with a fighter's chin...Gamboa has never really looked hurt in all his knockdowns..

hell, SRR used to get knocked down all the time and he is P4P GOAT...

Yeah, dude. :yep It's actually the only big fight on American TV this weekend.

The cofeature is Mikey Garcia vs. Matt Remillard.

Both should be competitive, but I'm just not seeing the upset in either. Gamboa & Garcia win.

If you need need more than Solis to beat him, then he is not a hype-glass jaw.

    :good

Gamboa is tricky. People who dismiss him having any issues with punch resistance are clearly in the wrong. People who insist that he'll be KTFO by the first decent skilled puncher he faces are also clearly in the wrong.

It boils down to people not really understanding the two main factors that constitute what we term "chin" in boxing.

There's punch resistance (susceptibility to being knocked off balance/down). Gamboa's is below average (but not horrible). He can certainly be put down by a well timed shot on the button, and with his athleticism-reliant style which sort of comes at the expense of tight defense this is bound to happen.

Then there's recovery (ability to retain or quickly regain your senses after taking a big hit, whether or not you go down). Gamboa's is obviously above average, given that he's gotten right back up (and not appeared to be in too much trouble at all) every single time he's been dropped or staggered.

So when you combine the two main elements of "chin" together - resistance & recovery (a bit below average + a bit above average) - you wind up with an "average" chin. Not iron. Not glass. Average.
