What is the problem with Mayweather?

Are you actually trying to say that everyone who criticises or says bad things about Floyd, a guy who is rude as **** in the media and in personal statements, hit his wife and threatened his children, has been inactive as hell in the last three years of his career is a racist?

I can't decide if this is fanboyism, a persecution complex or both.

 

I generally don't get caught up into all of the theatrics following athletes. I think most people regardless of race prefer humble, respectful celebs/athletes. As a person, I don't care for overly confident or cocky people. If its an act or hustle then I understand it, but whats the point of being so cocky all of the time? I am a huge fan of mayweather, and I truly believe that his cocky attitude is fight hype. He is always very respectful after the fight, and even praises his opponents.

In my opinion, the media does tend to judge blacks more harshly than their white counterparts, i.e. Tiger Woods, Kobe, chris brown vs. Ben Rothlisberger, favre, and charlie sheen.

 

No **** the dude could single handily save the world tommorrow but he would still be hated on ESB. The hate for this man runs deep.

In the 1800's they didn't understand why black people were complaining about slavery, in the 1960's they didnt' understand why black people were complaining about civil rights, and they aren't going to understand what we are talking about now.

haye and mayweaher are two different worlds. They should never be mentioned in the same breath. That's like saying Jordan and Koncak, Bryant and Dampier, or Lebron and Mike Miller!

 

Come on though, inside everybody knows when you see a white fighter you snicker inside and wait for him to get exposed as a hype job. I know I certainly do. Who didn't know that Andy Lee was going to get beaten sooner or later, or that Pavlik was going to be in serious trouble in a bit due to mobility issues? Who really believed in John Duddy?

truth is you guys are right, the media hates cocky black men and witht he added factor of him being gay just makes it even worse, white people of america have a hard time accepting blacks as it is but when he's gay too thats just a whole different story.
