America actually likes loud black athletes or entertainers....of course the conservative right wing side of America won't, but they don't make up the majority.

A lot of folks LOVED Ali back in the day.....during a time of segregation and inequality. Everyone hates on Floyd and guys like Terrell Owens simply b/c they're ass holes.

That's universal......Floyd is about as loved and admired as Charlie Sheen these days and it's all due to a HUGE character Flaw.

Mike Tyson was loved...he was black, loud and abrasive..> He did more crazy **** than Floyd. The differnce is Floyd just comes off like a Flake....Like he's trying too hard to be what he's just not.

Floyd wants to be considered a thug or gangsta when Floyd is just a supremely talented boxer. Floyd comes off like a spoiled brat who feels he can disrespect the world and everyone should "understand".:rofl

The only reason why Floyd has ZERO respect by the vast majority is simple.....he doesn't feel it's necessary to reciprocate respect. And......His whole persona that he tries so hard to be just isn't believable. Someone with that kind of talent and ability has MAJOR self esteem issues and his "MONEY" persona is his defense mechanism.

dude I don't disagree with you at all. But stay with me on this one. Explain the white mainstream attitude when it comes to Obama? I mean I read the Wall ST Reform act also the Credit Card Reform Act as well as the Healthcare Reform bill and I haven't spoken to 3 white people who hates Obama who've even read these documents. Can you explain? Or, you can always go to the stick to boxing card.

Yes. 2 black atheletes who fit the common Negro thread of their day. 2 very concervative individuals who grew up in an era where black males were college educated at almost 7x's the we have now. did you know that in 1967 every black male in the NBA had a college degree. Or, they probably wouldn't be drafted. The irony is really funny though when you think about black atheletes in sports. In 1947 when jackie Robinson was allowed to play MLB he was 1 of 2 college degrees in the entire game. The other was a russian guy who played on the Yanks under in American name. His name slips me but he was hired by the CIA to spy on Lou Gehrig. But explain Obama. why so much hate?

Another thread gone to **** with alt posters.

The race card is so easily pulled here. Cry me a ****ing river about millionairs not being loved. It has nothing to do with race. Being an ******* is not a race.

Wow, more knee jerk superficial defense.

Even bring up the name Sarah Palin illustrates that you grab on to any white names you can find in defense of the conspiracy racist theory.

I would not even address the line by line ineptness in your reply.

It seems like some black Americans biggest enemy is still themselves.

Sheezaz kris, now it is the white mans fault for college athletes not getting their degree. Not only that, it is a racist conspiracy. It is everyone's fault except the black college athlete. (ignore the white athletes they don't fit in the racist narrative).

Wait.... you are allowed to HATE Haye WITHOUT a REASON, but the next non black person to HATE Haye without a reason falls under anti black mainstream media conspiracy (at least according to some here).

    Got it.

You missed the point by a mile. Totally wrong, it was the DLH exposure and not Mayweather. Pacquiao wasn't universally considered a viable Mayweather opponent until his Cotto victory.

Mayweather was hated not because he's black and loud. Ali was black and loud but he was loved because he backed up his talk with action. Floyd was loud but he retired after DLH, came back to fight Hatton, then retired again without facing Cotto, Margo, Shane, PWill at the time when the 147 division was loaded and very exciting.

you were saying you were a Sociologist, your degree does not help you in a boxing argument if you don't understand boxing history
