I always feel comparing middle rounds is a good way to get a feel for a fight. [yt]l92h6aIwH4U[/yt] [yt]ppdEjJWw5Hk[/yt] [yt]FTsQDBwaW7E[/yt]
And Cruz was fouling the entire fight and even still, Solis had him out on his feet in the 12th round. Guess you didn't watch that fight, eh?
Gamboa looks like an amateur boxer 75% of the time he's in the ring. Same amateur style, and he hasn't improved since I first saw him against Johnnie Edwards. Still keeps his hands down, still has poor defense. He fights very, very cavalierly, like nobody can hurt him, or even test his skills. He has been underwhelming since the hype started. I could go on and on about how NOT great he really is. He has great speed, and he uses it haphazzardly. It's a pity, really.
Gamboa has great physical tools, pfp some of the best in boxing, and his style is good, but it's not polished and that does leave him open defensively. But that's not enough for him to lose to Solis. Honestly, I think he would do great with Mayweather in his corner as a trainer. A lot of guys such as Mares for instance have worked with Mayweather, but due to their style or inability or unwillingness to learn something new, it didn't work out. Gamboa; however, would be perfect.
I should slap myself for what I just wrote. Gamboa is going to beat the **** outta that slow bum. If that guy has a chin, he may last for a long time, but either way he'll take a beating. What does anyone see that says this guy can beat Gamboa? Speed KILLS.
Why not the last round? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4zjTuN5Mcw&feature=fvsr[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVZ0R8Q0gKc&feature=related[/ame]
This is an insult to Gamboa. Gamboa is on a different level. Solis is just some everyman that learned a bit of boxing, but is not even on the same stratosphere. Gamboa is going to beat the breaks off this guy. I would be surprised if it last more than a few rounds and if it does, it's due to Solis' toughness rather than his skill. IE, he is going to take a serious beating. The only way Gamboa loses is if somehow he manages to get tired from landing so many punches on Solis.
You are calling Solis a bum? Go ahead and slap yourself or bang your head against a concrete wall. :yep What if this bum beats Gamboa? Then Gamboa is just a tomato can? :rofl
Relatively speaking, YES. Absolutely. If you were comparing him to some average dude, than no, but in comparison to Gamboa who is getting better in every fight and is one of the most tallented fighters in boxing, he is definitely a bum. Now, if you want to put it on the line and actually say that Solis is going to win this fight, that's on you, but you better be praying that Solis has ONE hell of a chin because one dimensional, slow punchers, don't have much problem finding his chin. Gamboa in comparison is a phenom. There is NO WAY Solis can deal with that sort of speed and precision. I would not be surprised if this only lasts a round or two. What do ya'll see in this guy? I mean, does that sound like a good bet to you. "You see, Solis is gonna take a serious beating, and then Gamboa is going to get tired in the late rounds, even though he's winning every round, and somehow Solis is going to land a Hail Mary punch." Does that sound like a good bet to you? Cuz that's the reality of this situation. Gamboa will have no trouble finding Solis and Solis is too slow for Gamboa. Speed kills.
For ppl here is only one color, their color, if a boxer win like the K's brothers, Pacquio or Donaire, they are all time greats but if some one else happens to show some skills, he is a hyped job that has only fight cab drivers.
Listen, compared to Gamboa, this guy is a bum. Gamboa is an elite fighter. This is going to be a destruction. What are you betting on with this guy? That he can take a beating? I mean, is that a skill? How much of a beating you can take?
Brother . . . learn a lesson. POSTERS who bragged a lot normally eat their shits back. Strange things happen in the ring. I'm not saying Solis is gonna win. A 50/50 fight for me, but you don't call Solis a bum. The guy worked his way up the rankings the hard way without hype. He is not a perfect fighter but he can bang. And considering that Gamboa just won a UD against Salido . . . this is not gonna be a picnic in the park for Gamboa as you were trying to picture out..
:yep Yep he is dropping back down to 126 which is interesting because earlier in his career he used bounce up from 126 to 130, but after the Cruz fight he said he would stick at 130 due to him struggling to get down to 126. Three fights later fighting at 130, he's going back down to 126. It's the elephant in the room, very interesting to see how he'll look at the weigh in.
