The man was Tv gold, hell he was more Eric Cantona than Eric Cantona ever was. Poetic illusion, confusion or dillution it did not matter. I mean nobody could trash talk with manners, be so aggressive and polite as Eubank. One of a kind. But Collins still kicked his ass and he needs to get over it.

    Floyd must fight on: Eubank

    Tuesday 8 May, 2007
REPORT: GREG WILCOX FLOYD MAYWEATHER may have achieved 38 straight wins, but he is still not yet a ‘great’ fighter - according to former super middleweight world champion Chris Eubank. Mayweather defeated Oscar De La Hoya on a split points decision in boxing’s biggest ever grossing fight on Saturday, and then promptly announced his retirement. But Eubank says he will have to reverse that decision if he is to take his place in the pantheon of boxing legends. “Mayweather’s career is a work in progress. He won’t retire yet,” Eubank told 7DAYS. “Mayweather has had 38 straight wins but he is not a ‘great’ yet. “Greatness is what is measured when your career is finished, and before that happens you have to have done your winning and your losing.” There has already been much speculation that the undefeated American could be tempted out of his brief retirement if the money offered was big enough - possibly in a rematch against De La Hoya. And Eubank feels if he was to lose in any comeback it is how he reacts to that loss which would ultimately define his sparkling career. “You have to show you can lose and that you can take your beatings. “The truly great fighters, like Mohammed Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson and Marvin Hagler were all great fighters because they took their losses and came back. “There has only been one fighter (Rocky Marciano) who has retired undefeated and I wouldn’t class him a ‘great’ because you only see someone truly great in the way they lose.”

Either did the judges, and thats what counts.
