He's trying to win the event without having the event.

It's a classic flashy non-event syndrome (Lament terms, there is no official name yet).

It's a classic reminder of SRL announcing his retirement in front of thousands of people only to embarrass Marvin Hagler. Sometimes, it could be used as psychology method to get your opponent to think that a fight won't happen. SRL surprised Hagler by announcing the fight, but he still lost the actual event. :deal

I can appreciate the TS's theory. I do recall the talks of the $100 mil contract offer from DK. But, it could've happened the other way too, I guess. Floyd made a total of $40 million or so with Mosley. Is he supposed to ask for less than what he made with Mosley, to fight Pac, in the, potentially, highest grossing fight of all time? $100 mil is pretty steep (if this is even true). But, this fight has the potential to generate a TON of money. So, I'd imagine Floyd is not going to sell himself short.

I'd prefer to have Arum's claims confirmed by Floyd or from someone who represents him from a business standpoint. Arum speaks with a forked tongue to the media, all too often, it seems.

The $40M (if this is the actual figure) is not the guaranteed purse of Floyd. A big percentage of what he got came from PPV. Floyd can have a guaranteed purse of $15M and the rest will be from PPV. He might still reach $50M if he fights Pac.

Yes...I am aware that the guarantee was around $20 million or so, and the rest came from PPV, endorsements, etc.

While I think the request for a $100 million is outlandish, an expectation to make anything less than what he did against Mosley (in what would be the highest grossing fight of all time) would be equally outlandish.

How can yuo be sure that both are the same thing?

Is it not possible that in the past PBF asked $100M for a series of fight from Don King and now he is asking $100M to fight Pacquiao?

After two failed negotiations, I am just one of the "rare people" that will only believe that a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather is a done deal...when I see the two of them standing Face-2-Face at a press conference with a signed contract...IN HAND!!! All this "HE-SAID/HE-SAID", Twitter-Back-n-Forth Bull**** is just a bunch of Jr. High School nonsense. But since the majority of the posters in here are just a few years removed from being in Jr. High....that's probably why there are so many threads about this BULL****. You guys do realize that there is FAR MORE **** going on in the sport of Boxing rather than to keep talking about a fight that MAY OR MAY NOT HAPPEN.

floyd sr. already confirmed that his son is really asking for 100 million for the pac fight. sr. even acknowledged that 100 million is too unrealistic and too absurd an amount to ask for a fight.

this therefore makes this thread moot. there is definitely no "actual truth" here. the TS is just making all of these things up and calling these so-called "truth".

It is so easy for the mayweathers to come out and say Arum's lying. Jeez, isn't that so elementary?

Funny how you distort and bend straight things, funny how you bring up issues a year ago.

    It's straight from Roger's mouth.
What does it take for the Pac fight to happen.

"He takes those tests and 100 Million dollars"

I can't ****ing believe you are trying to bend these words. :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
You don't need to decode the effin statement *****s. Suck it up!
