think Dempsey's ear was pretty much hanging off in his title defence against Bill Brennan by all accounts aswell - don't know of any where it was completely off but Dempsey's sounded bad
and take a look at corrie sanders ears. not a pretty sight but not sure what happened to them. he had to get blood out of one ear after his fight vs vitali, but i remember his ears being fd up long before that.
