Let me just add that I don't buy into the notion that Mosley got old overnight. He fought Mayweather, that's why he looked so bad. Plus, he did not fight relaxed and anytime you aren't relaxed and all tense in ANY sport, you do not perform well. Your mind has to be relaxed for you to perform well and Mosley was all tense. Had he been looser, i think that in itself would've meant that he would've performed noticeably better. Thoughts?
"Shane was prime when Floyd fought him" I bet you this **** gets said once Pac beats the **** out of him.
I don't even count it. Mosley was breathing heavy after 4 rounds, it wasn't the same Sugar Shane who fought De La Hoya twice
16 month layoff after a close fight with Mayorga for 11.5 rounds and a notable beatdown on a guilty cheater... hmmm I will rank Castillo 2 (exacting revenge for 'losing'), Judah, Hatton, Corrales and De La Hoya over the Mosley Win
Taking into consideration mosley is a future hall of famer was the current WBA champ, was also top 5 p4p at the time as well as coming off a KO win against antonio margarito and mosley was seen by many as the man of the WW division, you would have to put the victory in mayweather's top 5 wins. Although I myself think mosley was way past his best. But that don't change the fact that mosley was the man to face post margarito. Mayweather fought him and schooled him ridiculously.
Money's top 5 wins: 1.Oscar De La Hoya ( Oscar had plenty speed and skill left as he fought at 154lbs) 2.Jose Luis Castillo II 3. Diego Corrales 4. Jesus Chavez 5. Emaunel Augustus
The only reason PBF fought is cause Mosley was inactive for 13-14 months Mosley after Margo fight = Beat down
Floyd beat a past prime mosley that was old, as will pac on may 7. So its not that amazing, I do think it was strange that he dominated with agression liked that, I thought he would potshot his way to a ud. That made it a better win for me then I expected. Its actually one of mayweathers best wins.
