Yes, some good observations here which make sense to me. I like playing chess and turn-based strategies so the Klitschkos boxing style appeals to me.

Although I've seen enough fools here who sincerely believe that their subjective impressions are the only 'objective' reality. They will have their say in this thread.

i think its simpler then that, probably 80% of the Klitschko haters are english (either lewis or haye fans or both) and it seems really prominent on these boards cause the UK posters a most likely more then 50% of the active posters. its like a Klitschko vs Britian thing really.

i watched a short segment on a british news station (sky?) about haye-klitschko and it was hilarious the **** they were saying, they didn't even try to hide there bias.

Football(soccer) is awesome, its like boxing you need to be patient but if you now the game well you can enjoy moves and type of players, combinations excitement.
Players like messi,ronaldinho,zidane,henry,ronaldo they were/are all special and if you know football you can see the briliance.
American football is more action packed, What you are saying is the same if some guy says: : "damn boxing sucks they only wait a bit sometimes not even a ko just useless boring rounds dragging on, now mma or kcikboxing is awesome its action packed war for a short period blood violence and everything not like boring boxing"
Now we all know its not like that but people dont always see it that way, same with football, as a boxing fan yo should be able to understand why its awesome. I still think wlads boring but effective, while pac is exciting, thats not a European things, since there are many countries in Europe that are way different there is no need for generalization.

As pointed out in the first reply Europe is not one country. They don't have one overarching "European culture".

Whats funny here is that that "lowest common denominator stuff" is specifically made that way to appeal to foreign audiences.
To make a movie that appeals equally to American, Japanese, Korean, German and Mexican teenagers, you need to simplify **** down to things they all understand equally. Anything dealing with, say, the subtle trials and hardships of everyday life in the American Midwest is going to be totally lost on someone from the other side of the planet. But there is one thing that everyone in the world can understand and sympathize with, no matter what their culture or ethnicity: The need to run away if you are being chased by giant robots.

Likewise, foreign audiences also aren't as picky about good writing (a lot of it will be lost in the translation to subtitles anyway) or clever comedy (which is highly culturally specific).

So if you're a studio executive who is choosing between financing a poignant coming of age film about an orphan ranch hand in East Texas or a film about a giant radioactive thunderstorm that gives people superpowers, chances are you're not going to go with the poignancy. Yes, i stole nearly every word of that but that's why American "blockbusters" make so much money, they're marketed to appeal to the entire globe, because they're thematically simple.

Yeah Froch is a boring ******* to watch so was Naz, kessler, i could carry on but to say that their is one european culture is just stupid, furhtermore fighters from the same town have differing styles so i dont understand what your point is. Europe isnt one country and has many different cultures within the countries let alone across the continent. IN england alone there are areas where different sports have vastly different popularlities. Thanks for coming
