I've been hooked since I was a kid back in 1984. It was Hearns and Chavez for me. It was great to watch those guys as an impressionable teen when they were still active. Hearns is still my favorite fighter of all time.

I've increasingly come to like Pacquiao over the years and have no problem with his Number One status, however the last fighter to really capture my imagination was Morales just before the first Barerra fight.

I remember watching Penalosa,Espinosa, blow by blow days, Tyson fights were huge here in the philippines, also Dela Hoya fights, I remember my father and his friends get drunk while watching a big fight and then me and my friends try to mimic tyson after his fights.

The first fight I couldn't wait soon enough was the 1st Leonard-Hearns.

    What was yours?

I've been following boxing longer than most of you here have been alive. First fight I saw that I can remember was Leonard-Hearns I, September 16, 1981 at my uncles house with his SelecTV / ON TV cable here in Los Angeles when I was 9 years old. My family said we watched Thrilla In Manila in 1975 while I was still living in Manila. Being 3 years old, I sure won't lie to anyone of you that I remenber that fight even the slightest. I followed boxing throughout the early 80s as it was always on regualar TV on the national networks ABC, NBC and CBS. From 1984-1989 I returned to the Philippines to finish high school. Thank God they broadcast the big fights there for free even with 10 minutes of commercials between rounds. I saw only the big fights in the 90s with me being busy with college back in the States. With Pacquiao's emergence, I follow the sport more closely now even if there are less superstars than the past eras. Thanks to the current P4P king! :happy
