    Froch outlanded Dirrell, the punch stats are on Boxrec. The fight wasnt on Sky so they wouldnt have scored it. Dirrell may have been caught by rabbit punches because he was illegally ducking below the belt line.

    I never said Bute is bad. Where did you get that from? I said he looked awful against Magee, who is not regarded as a top SMW. Could I be selling Magee short? Of course.
    I keep posts short because others go on and on for far too long.
    If you disagree with anything I've said, fine. I don't take anything here personally. It's just boxing. And Bute can prove me wrong. I'd be happy to admit I was mistaken at that time. But I still think he loses to Ward, and badly.

    You are the one not able to accept that others have a different opinion. I don't have any problem with what you say, except that you didn't say Bute has been average, you said he was mediocre.

    That may have started what you find weird on this thread. I agree with you that he was average. Not mediocre. He'll lose to any top 20 the day he will be mediocre.

    Did you also predict that Bika would lose badly to Ward? Seems like you may be overrating Ward, since that turned out to be a close fight.
    Or, maybe you knew that was going to be a close fight, but you predict that Bute would lose badly because you view Bute as much inferior to Bika. :huh

    I encourage opposing viewpoints. That was the point of the thread. But when the viewpoint is expressed as "you're an idiot,,,blah,blah" I get bored pretty quickly. I also encourage a sense of humor, which too many earnest poster/boxing fans here seem to lack.

    ocelot is simply disappointed with Bute's last performance. It's more than his right to do so. He may have overestimated Bute or underestimated Magee. I understand his point of view now. ... Especially now, when there are talks about a Bute - Mendy fight next :).

    I have no idea how I predicted Ward v Bika. Your memory must be better than mine. Maybe I am overrating Ward. Or maybe not. I think Bute will lose badly to Ward because I think the style match-up strongly favors Ward. Ward's jab alone will neutralize a lot of Bute's offense and keep him at range. On top of that, Ward's defense is much better than Bute's. Bute's will have a chance of winning by KO, but that's it. Ward will outpoint him with relative ease otherwise.

    Probably because ya'll hype Bute so much we expected to see an demolition of Magee.
    Bute hasn't been doing ****, has been in no real wars, and should be the freshest of all the SMWs who've all compiled many wars in their careers then the on-the-sidelines Bute. :yep
