Vitali may well have KO'd the ref in the next round, because there was no way he was gonna get a good shot on lewis only having 2d vision, 1 eye , 3 cuts and half of a face....

    ^^^

You two among many others will just have to deal with it.
As I said in my post which I provided above yours, despite what you all think, there are many who feel there was unfinished business, including Vitali obviously.
You don't have to be a Klitschko cocksucker to feel dissatisfied with how it turned out (I'm not). The Lennox lovers are the most frustrsated over these threads, obviously, but that's also typical.

Looks like this issue is permanent.

    your contribution is appreciated :good

but Vitali did land some in the 6th, same face, and finished on his feet, so there's evidence against your theory.

Does anyone else feel the debate takes away from how good the fight actually was?

I've seen some reports describing a crude hug fest, but to me it was a war I never expected lewis to prevail in!

I would say the debate is a disservice to vitali himself, he has gone on to achieve better things.

As a side note, altho at the time he wouldn't have got much credit for beating lewis in a rematch, right now it would aid his atg argument.

Thanks but I'll stick to the fact that Vitali was TKO! No matter how you try to make assumption, that still wont erase the fact that Vitali was TKO.:rofl

Not really, the issue is only as permanent as you want it to be.

In fact I find it's Lewis fans that want this topic laid to rest.

Damn straight it is. A faded Lewis beat a prime Vitali fair and square and as a Lewis fan I can't blame him for not wanting a re-match, especially after his lacklustre performance in the first fight. He retired on a great win instead of getting beaten up as an old man (ala Holyfield, Louis, Ali, DLH etc.) and that's good enough for me.

Also, I find it kind of pointless how you're not debating the fact that Vitali lost but are instead resorting to snide quips against Lewis in this thread.

snide quips? my intention was only to make explanations for the neutral and oblivious parties. but if i've offended you, then, well, ...oh well?

I enjoy the topic, but what's frustrating is that people (I can only assume purposely) try changing things you've seen with your own eyes. All seem to be klitschko fans who can't accept what happened.

For example, some posters can't acknowledge Lewis wasn't in his prime, when all you have to do is watch some of his earlier fights and see for yourself. I find this strange, it's like saying Vitali is in his prime, when he's clearly slower than he was when he and Lewis fought.

Same with the damage sustained. There's no doubt who sustained more, regardless of who you felt might have went on to win had the fight not been stopped.

    Both of these are indesputable.

That the cut was caused by a punch, should be pretty much a given as well, but still some rabid V.K. fans will argue, it was Lewis' hair that caused the cut, he thumbed V.K. in the eye, and all kinds of nonsense.

It's this irrationality that's hard to deal with.

Eliminate that, and the topic itself is just fine.

in those cases, it's difficult to tell if an individual truly believes that or is just trolling... but if it's a Lennox fan pointing it out, it's typical

you must be frustrated often if you enjoy this topic

It's a bit like watching foxnews and them telling us it's fair and balanced, and right afterwards questions whether or not Obama was born in the U.S.
