WBC confirms result: Tko due to an injury without Vitali's intervention

The different story is the punch! Wlad knocked Brock down, he was out before he false down. A great punch combination.

Solis was hit but IMO he hurts his leg when he tries to attack Vitali again, Solis move forword and he leg goes down, he stumbles back and false to the canvas. Solis could not continue because of the knee injury, not because of the punch.

Look how the crowd reacts: "Shift, Fraud"!

Wlad knocked Austin down in round 2, the crowd was dissapointed because of this short figt, but i do not hear such words because everybody could see and hear in the arena, that Austin toook very hard punches.

The punch that Vitali landed, was not hart enough to sent Solis down, and because of that the crowd reacts in such way, the people could not know Solis hearts his knee and can not continue.



Both fights Brock and Solis are TKO wins. Thats´t correct.

Its not a NC. That is only if its stopped early before the 4th due to cuts from accidental headbutt or maybe for other accidental fouls. But he went down from a grazing punch. Vitali didnt push him or do anything wrong, the guy dropped on his own from injuries, he didnt even trip. He was unable to continue, its a TKO by ref stoppage

 

Exacly this. I´ve seen the zoomed slomo version about 100 times now. Solis was stumbling after the punch before the knee got twisted. So the punch must have had an impact on Solis.

But no, the punch does NOT look that hard.

Guess it was all just a strange coincidence that Solis got hit on the top of the head, then soon after blew out his knees, it didn't have anything to do with his legs turning to jello or anything.

 

Officially its a TKO, and fair enough. The rules dictate this.

But when people talk about Vitali's wins, it'd be pretty insane to mention "oh yeah, and he stopped Solis in 1 round" (despite being technically true).

Solis actually looked okay in the first, and although I still think Vitali would have won (and potentially quite impressively as well), I think it may also have turned into one of his more tougher fights recently.

With that said, Vitali has nothing to prove in terms of giving Solis a rematch IMO. I'd certainly watch it though.

The video proves that Vitali landed a right hook on Solis' temple, making his dizzy, snapping his head back, Solis went from a punch and then hurt his leg. Solis was wobbly, both his lets were wobbly. Solis' fans are trying to recreate the video, but they can't, it's frustrating to them, they lie, but the video proves that they are liars and sore losers. Solis lost from a punch landed by Vitali period. Can't argue with the video.

 

¿ Why ? It was never a KO , Solis hurt his knee BEFORE Klitschkos "punch" , he landed wrongly when he threw the punch , then trying to get away from Vitali's counter his leg gave up on him , its a freak accident that can happen to anyone , of course we are dissapointed because it happened in the first round of a title fight but ¿ what can we do about it ? , if you look back at those 2/45 minutes Solis showed us a lot ( not only us , even David Haye saw it and now wants Vitali ) , he looked like he had a plan and it was working . I bet that if that injury had ocurred in any other fight but a title fight you wouldn't feel like that about Solis , like I said before we have to analize those two minutes and see what he did , dont pay too much attention to some of the posters here because they are incapable of seeing the truth , Vitali's "punch" was never strong enough to be a KO punch and we know of Solis excelent chin and punch resistance , the referee shouldn't never given Solis a standing count , a good referee would have seen how Solis was fighting in those two minutes and then when the injury occurred he should have given Solis time to put himself together and then if he was unable to go on , stop it . This fight should have been called a NO CONTEST . Peace .

 

Simply because the rules say, that if you are injured and unable to continue, it will be TKO win for your opponent. It doesn’t mater what you did before that.

It isn’t other guys fault, his opponent got injured.

Without that rule everyone could fake an injury to get No Contest before they are knocked out.

 

Good post , I only disagree with the outcome of the fight and the rematch , I think that had the fight went on it would have turned into a very interesting fight indeed and anyone could have won it , about the rematch I believe that if Vitali wants to call himself a true champion he should give Solis a rematch , as long as a lot of boxing fans are concerned its UNFINISHED BUSSINES

I said in my post that the referee should look at Solis behaviour during those two minutes , it was obvious that Solis was trying to win not fake anything. Peace.
