Blood testing or not, the main issue is (lack of) willingness to even negotiate

To be real here, from observing the events that happened in the first negotiations, there are two people at fault: Arum and Floyd Sr. I say this because these two showed signs that they did not want this fight occurring for one reason or another. In Floyd Sr's view, it could be a full-fledged belief that Pac was on PEDs and a genuine concern for his son's safety, and in Arum's view, a superstar has been emerging and he would be risking his greatest investment over one fight, or maybe he just didn't want to do business with Floyd.

Everyone knows the details about Floyd Sr so I'll skip that.

Arum showed initial signs of backing out during negotiations when there was controversy over the venue.

After a majority of the details had been ironed out, the controversy over blood testing surfaced most likely due to the bad communication among members of team pac. Although there were various inconsistencies, such as Pac saying "just not the day of the fight" and Roach "not the week of," from a third view point it appears Arum took advantage of the situation to move away from the fight. Here's a quote from Dec 30.

"We'll ask the MGM which fight they want [Pacquiao's or Mayweather's] and the MGM will then pick the fight and alienate one of the fighters forever," Arum said. "We have another date [of March 20] that we can go on outside of the MGM and we will do that if we have to. If HBO takes sides, which they're free to do, we have discussed alternatives."

Arum moved on the quickness to even try and set Pac up with Paulie Mali****inaggi, but instead settled with Clottey.

It's clear at least to me that the actual fighters wanted to fight (at the time), as Floyd himself actually hadn't said a word to the press until the talks blew up. Statements from each fighter clearly alluding to a desired whooping of the other.

    Pacs statement------------------------------- http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/spo...gainst-mayweather-golden-boy-productions.html

    Floyd's statement (***** indicates the scene)-- http://www.***********.com/floyd-mayweather-i-want-whip-pacquiaos-punk---24553

(Just after sifting through those last 2 articles I'm really disappointed it didn't happen)

Anyways **** happens, Floyd fights Shane; Pac, Clottey, in between then, there are copious amounts of **** talk coming from Floyd as he was probably holding it in, and drama such as the endorsements and legal stuff, but the first inkling that Floyd was uninterested/fed up with the fight was that "Make a wish foundation" video that said he would take a couple of years off.

When the 2nd round of negotiations began, Pac eventually caved in to the 14 days demand set by Floyd, effectively making the failed negotiations the first time around his fault. However, since then Floyd has placed multiple hurdles in the way of getting the fight done.

These don't include the issues of moving the testing to the day of the fight, and the split.

Details on "there were no negotiations"--------- http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news?slug=ki-floydducking072710
Floyd speaking to Dana White about the fight--- http://msn.foxsports.com/boxing/story/Kriegel-Floyd-Mayweather-wastes-our-time-072610
    Details on "urge"------------------------------ http://www.fighthype.com/pages/content8342.html

Whether or not Floyd is "scared" to lose his 0 per se, we can just make a logical conclusion from the continued constraints being placed that he is currently the one uninterested in making the fight happen.

Mayweather has no interest in making this fight or any fight it seems. Pac, however, silences any criticism with his activity.

No. ****ing. ****. It's sad that a post like this (articulate and well-designed though it may be) needs to even be written. If you have a shred of common sense and intuition, you know Floyd hasn't shown ANY DESIRE WHATSOEVER to get this fight made. None. He doesn't want it. If he did, the ****ing thing would be over and we'd all be talking about how disappointing it ended up being.

Well its gotta be spelled out apparently. Also, the other aim was to show that initially, Floyd DID desire to have the fight however it just died down.

How is Pacquiao silencing critics when every fight he fights a bigger guy, physically dominates him, and still he goes without legitamate PED testing?

From my point of view, with each passing fight, Pacquiao has given more reason to point the finger that he's a cheat.
.......for God's sake, he supposedly undertrained and took Margarito lightly, and the critics are supposed to be silenced off of that performance?:think

If Pac-JMM were to happen, would you want or should JMM to request Pac to take OSDT as a pre-condition???

Because he's a "slow, plodding, come forward fighter"? Because if that's the case it's not at all farfetched that Pac outclassed him.

Pacquiao did more that outclass Margarito, he physically dominated him.
Margarito kept a steady pressure througout, enough pressure that a fighter that much smaller should have felt the fatigue heading into the late rounds, but instead, Pacquiao say's afterward he took his foot off the gas pedal?:patsch

    Are you kidding me?

JMM asking for PED testing would be the end of any chance he has to land a Pacquiao fight.

JMM so much a mentions PED testing and Bob Arum will come up with some lame excuse not to fight Marquez, like......"after this Mosley fight, we're through with beating up on old hasbeen fighters, and Marquez is'nt even a Welterweight."
"God forbid if something happened to Marquez, I'd feel responsible.":lol::lol:

Arum and Pacroid would concoct anything to stay away form a fighter asking for PED testing.

What pressure? Walking forward and shooting telegraphed, easy to counter punches?

Better skilled fighters than Pacquiao have sucumbed to Margarito's pressure.
.....its not that easy to slow down Margarito's pressure.
Even Pacquiao will testify to it. Pacquiao was hurt more by Margarito than any other fighter since Marquez.

    Like Mosley?

Pressure is a rather arbitrary factor to use when it comes to physicality.

Do you think Floyd will be willing to officially negotiate anytime soon?
