So Wlad has said he is going to jab Haye to victory but I cant see this style working. Haye is great on the back foot and loves to counter. I can see uppercuts landing all night. Whats your views? I will definitely enjoy the fight for 12 rounds and eventually in the 12th I will knock him out, Wladimir said in an interview at thesun.co.uk. I will fight stiff by using my jab, jab, grab, but then my right missile will land on his chin or temple and he get knocked out.
Well Ruiz was having success with the jab, Ruiz... Haye puts himself off balance a lot and although not a speedster wlad is sufficently fast to keep him wary. I would be surprised if he started doing ballet maneuvers and countering Wlad's jab at will, he just isn't that cordinated. Oh and wlad is going to stick behind the jab the majority of the fight.... i would never have guessed..ZZZ
See alot of people have said this and I can count on 2 hand how many jabs actually connected the whole fight so I dont see how people are saying this.
isnt that the same thing he's done in every other one of his pro fights? Im sure haye will be surprised by that one. honestly, all Hay'es gotta do is pressure wladimir , use his speed and don't let up. He doesnt wanna stay flat footed right in front of Wlad. Give him angles, and come in behind combinations. Wladimir cant handle pressure and his chin will fail him pretty quick.
I was just repeating what everyone else said, i probably should watch the fight.:yep David isn't what i would call hard to hit in any event.
Haye wasn't able to spar in the lead up to that fight due to a cut. Plus Ruiz's success has been massively overrated.
Since when was Haye a swarmer? He doesn't have the stamina or chin to fight like that without the high probability of getting caught. He will probably be very tentative and try sporadic counters.
Pressure from Haye? :think You mean the same pressure against Harrison? Or against Valuev? :rofl Really, dont expect great pressure from Haye. He is too scared.
I was at this fight and Ruiz landed about 3 jabs in 8 rounds . If you call that a success I would hate to see what an unsuccessful jab was. Haye has actually really improved his defence. Anyway Im not sure why we are even discussin this fight as Wlad will pull out injured and get his big brother to do his work for him , always has , always will.
could happen anytime . Haye is explosive. He can catch wlad as long as he's not too afraid to let his hands go like most of wlad's opponents. All it takes is one punch and haye can swarm him and finish him.
Pressure isnt always about coming forward ,pressure can also mean always being in a position to attack , and this can tire out a fighter just as much as being pushed backwards.
It would kill Wlads legacy if this transpired. Haye might be able to have success against an old Vitali, a few years back he would have been mincemeat but Vit has diminished somewhat in recent years.
