    Agreed.

If the fight happens lots of people will have egg on their faces while I count my newly acquired beer tokens.

Haye is not a pressure fighter and doesn't have a good chin.

Wlad is not overrated either. No one is saying he's an ATG.

But everyone else around just isn't good enough to beat him. As it stands, Haye won't (IMO) but then he'd fare even less well against genuine ATG Heavies (IMO)

His footwork is shocking. He hits hard but is not a one punch banger. His workrate is poor.

There are criticisms to be levelled at Wlad of course, but Haye is just not as good.

Also the 'make him smaller and blah blah blah' is stupid. So what if he uses his natural advantages?

The correct thing to say is 'give him a great fighter who can exploit his weaknesses' and he'd look average. Unfortunately, as much as everyone wants to think Haye can rid of us these boring giants, he is equally as flawed with stylistic/size disadvantages.

Manning on Mike Tyson, I tend to agree. take everything he does but make him 5f4 and 150lbs and he gets ****ed up by everyone he as faced even the bums.

Wlad gets overated by a few characters from the gf but as they barely qualify as human I wouldn't pay any attention to them. (ie Wlad would destroy Tyson!) Most sensible people realise he's a pretty decent fighter in a weak era. He should have too much for Haye who I don't rate particularly highly.

  7. Don't remember saying he was. My point was that a half decent fighter with a particular style would put him in all worlds of bother. If you're a top fighter you should be able to deal with all styles.

  8. Don't you think that the fact that WK fights the same way in each fight with a predictable style gives the Haye camp a decent chance, considering they heavily analyse their opponents and fight accordingly? Also it's not just a matter of WKs opponents not being good enough, a lot of them seem to accept as much and don't even put up a decent fight. It wouldn't take a 'great' fighter to beat him by any stretch of the imagination. I'm hoping that even if Haye isn't good enough he'll at least go out on his shield.

If he takes chances at the right times he'll pull it off. People are looking for him to be putting in perfect performances against the likes of Ruiz and that hasn't happened but he hasn't exactly looked in trouble either.

Well before the Haye fight Harrison was a strong contender!

    Former olympic champion etc etc

So in fact Audley is alot better than most of the guys Wlad has fought.

Do you think Booth is the only trainer in boxing who analyses an opponents style?

I think it was Vitali himself who said 'They've all got a plan until I hit them'
