Yea he is. Can't fight on the inside, can't fight off the ropes, and can't fight going backwards. He has great talent but he is only mid range fighter. Keeps his distance using his jab, gets off a combo, move, and repeat. That is all he does.
For a long time, Pacquiao was like this too. And against Maidana, Khan was fighting off the backfoot a lot of the time.
i dont think so, i mean when maidana was coming forward khan was backing up or just moving away, he never countered, only time he punched was when he was coming forward with his flurries.
That was in the latter rounds when he was hurt. But in the middle ones - where Maidana recovered and began walking him down - he was on the backfoot. I noticed him inviting Maidana onto a few uppercuts here and there.
Pretty much it. Throw a combo, circle the ring, set feet, maybe throw a jab or two, then repeat. Like you said, he's a talented fighter but the only time he looks comfortable is when he's given the room and the time to get full extension on his punches.
His offense is good but his defense and footwork need a lot of improvement. As the dude above said, he looks great on the outside with his jab and reach but put some pressure on him and he folds and his coordination and footwork doesnt look good at all on the inside, hes too easy to hit. You have to be the right kind of fighter to beat him though. Maidana was that fighter and Khan pulled out the win. No one else beats him at 140 today.
Khan-Bradley will be FOTY candidate. Both fighters have to be agressive to win. In Bradley's words, he'll 'bring it to him'. Only way Khan can beat him is meet him head on with fast, longrange straight flurries. This will have to be a very high-tempo match. This'll make for a good fight, in my opinion.
i dont think it will, bradley is aggressive but he knows what to do and he wont give a **** what the fans get as long as he wins, expect a very dirty fight from bradley, with a lot of holding to offset khans rhythm.
Cant wait for this fight. True 50/50. Khan has the edge in speed and power. But I believe Bradley has the edge in heart and skill.
