:deal Haye is nothing more than Herbie fuken Hide. They could be like identical Brothers. Sad part of modern farces of British Boxing.:yep
Maybe maybe not but what i know for certain is Haye wont get to the 12th...no matter what Wlad says he will hit him hard and often and Haye will fall 4-6
Uhm yes, why deny that? I wonder though. Why did it take Haye 12 rounds to land a single one of those shots, considering Valuev is feather-fisted and has zero defense? If Haye was so quick and slick and ultra-aggressive, shouldn't he have landed big power bombs on Valuev every round? I hope Haye doesn't wait 12 rounds before trying to land something big on Wlad.
The facts are: Both have a rubbish chin but ill still give a slight edge to Wlad. Both carry about the same power as quoted by guys who both have fought. Both have an 80%+ ko ratio. Haye has the edge on speed and footwork. Wlad has the edge on overall skill. So in my eye this is a very even fight! If Haye had achieved what he has now all at heavyweight no one would question his ability. But you have to admit what Haye brings to this fight makes it VERY exciting! :hey
Yes I admit if Haye came to war toe-to-toe it would be a huge, exciting fight. Wlad would then have to accept the gambit, open up and trade with Haye. One man would go down, one would be left standing. IMO though Haye will be potshotting from the outside, running, and trying the occasional flurry. That allows Wlad to stay defensive and jab from the outside, making for quite an uneventful and non-exciting fight.
Spot on! Yea I hope this doesn't happen if it does were set for a very boring night that will go 12 rounds with Wlad winning by decision.
At some point in the fight Haye will loop a hook around Wlad's guard & catch him on the side/back of the head. If he wobbles him when he does this & goes on to stop him the complaining on ESB will go on for years.
no way Haye has the same power with straight short shots. I will say the power is the same when haye round houses, but not straight shots...plus wlad has amazing power in BOTH hands... Haye has far less in left hand Wlads footwork is much much better then Hayes.... watch the fights... watch hayes foot work... when he throws combos, his legs come parallel to each other.. he doesnt have very good balance Biggest difference... DEFENSE.. Haye doesnt have any:yep
Not a bad post but what makes you believe Haye has the better footwork of the two? I see the exact opposite myself................
Spot on as usual. Wladimir has tremendous power in his left also. I don't believe their power is equal with the right hand either. Haye's biggest asset is speed & Wlad's no slouch in that dept. either. Another asset for Haye is his unorthodox style, which makes it hard to find Sparring partners that can copy that style. Haye's biggest weakness is his chin & his defense, which is suicide against a fighter like Wladimir.
Hayes footwork is better when he's moving around the ring but it becomes dodgy like you say when he gets a bit wild when throwing punches. Watch the Valuev fight though and when he's disciplined his footwork is excellent. As for defence he uses headmovent and reflexes, makes me laugh when people say he has no defence just because he doesnt have ear muffs on all the time, Wlad will find it harder to land on Haye than anyone he has fought before :deal
I really don't see the jab constantly working against Haye, especially his countering & back pedaling movements. Eventually Haye is going to land something and when he does glass will shatter. And when it does...the ChinCheckers will be there.
