    Spinks.

Spinks ranks higher all-time at LHW than Tyson does at HW.

Plus, Spinks became the linear HW champ, becoming the first LHW champ to do this in an extremely long time.

    Spinks pretty clearly for me.

He beat a better crop of fighters and was more consistent..never dropping the ball or losing when he should have.

Though the Davis fight was very close.

The ATG-status is always spiked with a little bit of celebrity. And Tyson is, alongside Ali, the "greatest" boxer of all time in terms of fame. While Spinks is virtually unknown. If he hadn't been beat by Tyson, Spinks would be as obscure as any other LHW from 30 years ago.

So I'd give the nod to Tyson.

Yeah, exactly. My first reaction was, "huh, it's not even close" Besides, Tyson annihilated him!

The great Michael Spinks and by distance. Spinks has some claim to be the greatest at 175 of all time. His rather great heavyweight accomplisments only add to his legacy.

Spinks easily. He was an amazing light heavy and beat some excellent fighters there, like Qawi, Muhammad and Johnson, before going up in weight and dethroning Holmes. His only loss to a prime Tyson is nothing to be ashamed of.

    He's a very underrated fighter, I think.

For me it's Spinks, but Tyson is Tyson and he's way more famous.
