Spinks. And it's really not even an issue.

M Spinks was the best LHW of all time bar none. No one is close.

Tyson, somewhere in top 10 HW all time.

 

tyson would be lucky to get into a top one hundred. spinks could find himself comfortably inside a top fifty.

 

I love Mike, but Spinks IMO is top3 lhw, he is in my top30 ATG list also.

 

Spinks ranks way higher for me ATG. Far better resume of wins during his career. If Tyson done a few things differently, he could have been right at the top of peoples lists nowadays but he didn't. I also think Tyson knocks Spinks out ten times out of ten if they meet.

The only reason the picks for Tyson weren't overwhelming is that several posters from classic chimed in.

I knew what people would be saying before I clicked on the link.

And I agree- Spinks is easily top 3 LHW all-time and a sure pick over Tyson in an ATG-sense.

Its not a popularity contest. This is ATG status...

 

exactly, i'm especially shocked by that one guy who said the only reason people know spinks is because he lost to tysonatsch

i mean why do people consider ricardo lopez a great, he wasn't famous and he never lost to anyone famous?:huh
