You ever think that Floyd could be hiding a glass jaw?

All I'm saying everytime Floyd comes out of his shell and tries to let lose on a fighter with some pop in his hands he gets hurt. And most times the punches aren't all that spectacular. We saw him hurt agianst Oscar, Zab, Shane, Corley and some other fighters. I know just because you get hurt that don't mean your chin is weak, but I am just thinking "what if"? Maybe that why he doesn't want to fight Pac, because Pac don't care what you throw at him, because he's crazy, and he will keep coming for you. Maybe Floyd is afraid Pac will walk through his punches and tap that chin.

Roger had a week chin too. Look at some of his old fights on Youtube. Maybe it's hereditary? I'm not a doctor, but I'm just saying...

Floyd legs aren't as fast as they once were and maybe he feels he's won't be fast enough to keep Pac away from his chin. Maybe the reason he fights the way he does now, is to protect a fragile chin.:think

Didnt we see him take 2 monster shots in his last fight against the biggest puncher in his division and not go down?

This is getting merged into the chin checker ***git thread

Its quite possible though he did eat big shots vs Corely and Judah and Mosley

Castillo put leather on him to and so did Chavez

I figure if he had a weak chin it would have been expposed

he is human, he can be hurt....but since he sees alot of shots coming he can roll with them to take some of the power off........yea when he fought Corley, Judah and Mosley he was stunned becuase he didnt see the punch coming, always the one that gets u the worst.....watch the mosley fight....the big shot was set up by a jab to the body and Shane threw the right so fast he couldnt brace himself didnt see it coming til too late and you see he tries to roll that shoulder, he had to take it......the second shot he tries to land a check hook between a Shane overhand right, his lefthook misses and Shane gets him clean on the temple.....He has a pretty darn good chin considering who he has fought in his career and has never been in danger of being stopped or kayoed

:deal Also Floyd Sr has a pretty good chin. So I don't believe floyd inherited roger's chin. Now when Roger mayweather son boxes his chin might be ****.

not a very good thread...I don't know how much of Floyd u've watched, but he did not always fight defensive like he has at 147. He has been in with world class fighters and has eaten some leather in his day.

I doubt it, Floyd seems to have a solid chin.

Floyd was hit in the Castillo fight, he ate some wicked right hands. There is a reason why people feel he lost that fight...bc he got hit.

My point is guys are hitting harder in 147-154, maybe his chin that was solid when he was lw isn't holding up as well at the heavier weight.

I agree, it's probably not glass. But maybe he has some worries about fighting Paquiao because he may feel he's not taking the punches as well at 147 then he was before and Pac might hit him with something he can't get away from.

if he was scared of power then he wouldn't have fought Mosley, or DLH at 154.

So A guy hide a fragile chin by going up in 5 weightclasses beating champion after champion?

    Cool story.
