I do believe he has a suspect chin after seeing the Corley fight, but since he rarely ever gets hit cleanly it doesn't play a huge factor

No he has glass balls though. He knows even if he wins, he'd get busted up by Pac like every other guy that has faced Pac. He doesn't want that, he's a chicken ****. Therefor, glass balls.

did you see pac grabbing on holding for dear life after he took that margo shot?

mayweather's been stunned badly against mosley. and let's not forget he should have gotten a knockdown when Zab starched him.

You guys make it out like Floyd has an iron chin. You hit anyone with a clean perfect shot, he's going to go down.

with pac, he's going to tag you more than a few times. I say he gets off at least 10 good shots on Mayweather. do the math, his chin will be tested and it might be shattered if he isn't careful.

What ever you think about his chin, his recovery rate after being hit is incredible.

Yeah, whenever he gets tagged with something big, he tends to refocus pretty quickly on the task at hand. Interestingly, he rarely jumps on his bike when that happens. He stayed in the pocket against Mosely, Corley, and actually adjusted and began to pursue Judah. I think if he were hiding a chin of glass, he would have been less inclined to fight at that distance.

More to the point, he's been in against some pretty solid punchers at various weight classes, and has only been dropped once legitimately (when he touched a glove down after getting caught by Judah), and hurt maybe a couple more times (against Corley and Mosley). So I'd say his chin is pretty reasonable, all things considered.

Yeah, and it is also well known that, generally speaking, punch resistance gets worse with age. So it's possible that ringwear kicks in and a guy who used to be able to take decent shots suddenly becomes glass jawed.

Well, he's not iron jawed or he wouldn't have bothered to get out of the way of marquez' bloated punches. He has a good chin and a great + D, with great recovery and excellent perception of what to do if he does get buzzed. Some guys let it be a slippery slope once they get tagged, Floyd never ever does that. I don't think he could take the kind of beatings Morales or Margarito could and walk through them without being KOed, but he'd never ever ever let himself get hit that much, even in a losing effort.

Roy Jones is one of the strangest cases in history, from invincible to actually considered fragile. And the questions he answers are a trip too: Ever fight with a broken or bloody nose, Roy? I fought so I don't get a broken or bloody nose, Larry. Just never got used to being hurt, ever. I think Floyd, like Hopkins, has much more solid fundamentals to go back on once his raw foot speed stagnates. (Hopkins, though, in my opinion, has a way better punch resistance than either Jones or Floyd)

Mosley is the hardest puncher at or near WW. Pacquiao isn't as powerful as advertised. See Mosley-Margarito and Pacquiao-Margarito.

Floyd has a good chin, but it hasn't been tested because his defense is almost impenetrable.
