There is a lot more to grappling than wrestling. Jones is very green, he has also never fought anybody his own size, who knows how fighting at heavy would affect him. He is unproven in the standup against LH's let alone k-1 champs. Way too premature atm.

"Way to premature atm" on both counts.

Overeem has lost to almost every high caliber fighter he has faced in mma. Overeem has yet to win a legitimate belt in mma, and so many are acting like he is a sure thing over someone that is an actual champion.

Both are relatively unproven in terms of this question. Overeem obviously has elite striking and is immensely powerful but the guy has not beat a top tier fighter and is yet to face a wrestler. Jones is just not a heavyweight and we have no idea how he would do there. The logical pick is clearly Overeem though.

    This.

Would anyone really be suprised if Jones fought his first fight at heavyweight against Overeem and beat him?

I wouldn't be suprised if Overeem was bought over to the UFC, Jones fought him in his next fight after Shogun and beat him.

I think Jones is THAT good.

I wouldn't be suprised of Jones beat any man on earth at 205 or heavy.

I think Jones beats Overeem within the next couple of years if they meet. Jones will run out of challenges so Reem better keep winning.
