One of the top 10 guys, so we can see if he is for real?

What a great fight him and Piroq would be!! :happy

Your grammar leaves a lot to be desired.

I would say Rubio matters, he's a top 20 fighter. It's also an eliminator to fight for a title. He's been brought along perfectly, Rubio is an ideal step up.

Rubio is a logical step up for Lemieux. Rubio is a top 15 and arguably a low end top 10 middleweight and a clear step up from guys like Camacho and Ayala. Good fight and I wouldn't be shocked if Rubio puts up a better fight than most think.

He will step up his resume significantly, while you will still be stealing your poor coworker Edfu's food.

ESB has Rubio at #15, the WBC has him at #3, Boxrec has him at #21. I think ESB has it right. A ranking around #15 is fair. With a record of 49-5-1 and 42 KO's Rubio is no joke. He is the right guy for young David at this point in David's career.

I say we won't find out about Lemieaux til 2012. Talk about a protected fighter.

But he might be the real deal. It's all going to depend on durability/chin which we wont get a chance to see for a while.

Rubio at this stage in his career is a safe bet. Good name, looks good on paper... but wont hurt Lemeiaux.

Rubio's no joke but Lemieux is still young. Guys like him and Canelo have to gradually step up their fights but they don't need to be thrown into the ring with top 5 guys before they're ready.

Plus, Lemieux is 22 years of age, no need to rush into fights he might not be ready for. You can accuse a guy like Berto, for instance, of taking the easy way out at times because he's 27 years of age. But a 22 year old? Nah, ridiculous to even mention it at this point.

Apr: Lemieux KO 6 Rubio, ESPN2

Jun/Jul: Lemieux KO 4 Lee, HBO BAD

Oct/Nov/Dec: if not a title fight, a good top 10 guy. So HBO WCB or on the undercard of a PPV

In 2012, David will be the most feared man at MW. :yep

Drozzy you ****, I said that Magee was not the same against Bute as he was when he fought Froch. I didn't say whether he was better or worse, deteriorated or improved, I just said he was a different fighter, and that 5 years was a long time. The body and mind can change a lot in 5 years.

You had no right accusing me of hate/nuthuggery. Atleast not in that instance

Can't be arsed finding the thread. I was having an argument with Booradley in it though.

    Don't play innocent

Magee would have won by TKO 2 if the fight had happened 5 years ago :hey (Insert obvious sarcasm)
