And Pac fought at lower weights his whole career and is at a size disadvantage according to most. Pac isn't known for his WW career.

Yeah Duran did beat him and lost not long after. and then lost the rubber match years later. Duran did win in their primes but 2 losses still have to be taken into account. Duran lost to Hearns so dramatically while Leonard won but Duran still ranks higher. Theres more to it than h2h is all I'm saying.

I understand that but you also have to take into account that Duran was not in his prime when he lost to Leonard and Hearns. Yes Pac fought at the lower weights but he wasn't held to the standard he is now until he beat Cotto. Lets not forget Floyd fought at a small weight class as well. He moved up just like Pac and their the two best fighter of their era. If Floyd didn't retire he most likely would have won fighter of the decade. That is why I said if Floyd wins then he would be known as the best of his generation. If Pac still ranks higher why does it matter if they fight? People want to see who the best is and the winner would determine that.

So let's throw out a fighters entire body of work and base his placing on one fight eh?

If by some miracle Tyson came back from Holyfield beat K2, beat Lewis, beat Byrd, Chambers, Peter, Brewster by your reckoning Holyfield would still place higher because he beat Tyson.

A fighters entire record is what warrants his placement and Manny has PBF covered on that one.

That has nothing to do with what I said. What the hell is with the what ifs? Manny and Floyd are the two best fighter of their era. That is a fact. Everyone wants to see the fight to see who the best of their era is. That is a fact. If Floyd wasn't the second best fighter of his generation I would agree with what you said, but he is. Don't act like Floyd hasn't accomplished anything. Remember no one considered Manny an all time great until Floyd retired.

That's because you're not a fan of the sport and only followed Floyd :hi:
Manny ain't a fighter of the decade just because he moved up to JWW+ and dominated everyone there

Your a ****ing idiot if you believe that. Look at my posts before you accuse someone of something. I didn't say he won fighter of the decade because he moved up to JJW and plus. I said no one considered him an atg until later on. If you can show me a quote or video of someone saying he was an atg in 2007 and down I will retract my statement and say I am a idiot.

This has been done over and over and it's CLEAR AS DAY Manny Pacquiao has the greater legacy and greater standing in boxing history. Mayweather has a ways to go to surpass him.

Show me an decent source that printed an ATG top 100 list in 2007. The espn one was only top 50.

List are subjective anyway, most reasonable people would have had Pacman in the top 100 at the end of 2007.

Pacman easy. The results are 64-5. Mayweather might not be able to catch Pacman's legacy if these numbers are correct.

Probably would have. Been watching Manny since 04. Never heard he was an atg until he beat Cotto. Heard he was an great fighter but atg, no. Bert Sugar made a list in 2006. Mayweather wasn't on it but he was on the just missed list. I don't know if Manny was on the just missed list as well.

If his resent wins were not from catch weight fights I would of said Pac easily, but being that's not the case. I'm going to say Floyd.
