If Green manages to overcome Tarver i expect Greens team and Hyder to inform us all of his all time great status. Top 100 ?, top 50 ?, top 20 ? Proof is in the pudding, the guy is a legend killer and won't be denied.

Why doesn't he chase Adamek instead of rjj and briggs? Briggsy had two great fights with Adamek and green wont even mention him. Green only made his name thru challenging mundine for years and when he got the fight didn't look like winning a round!
    Most overrated fighter ever!

Adamek is a 215 - 220 lb heavyweight working towards a world title in that division.

Green is a natural light heavyweight who even when fit can't even fill out to anywhere near the cruiser weight limit of 200 lb, and is coming back from a serious medical condition that has him weighing even less.

    im re crankin this thread...

Green has alot to lose in this fight to the aussie public..but tarver has just as much to lose realistically as well, Green if he wins can keep hand picking and fighting sub-par oppennts who are past their best while staying in the top 5 in the world with no intention of looking for a big fight or going overseas, If he loses he will prob retire.. Tarver a hbo commenter who makes a good living doing that and has made more money in his 20 odd fights than greens career, and has alot more endoresments still rolling in at 42 than green would, has that to lose... tarver wants to be a bernard hopkins.. if tarver beats green muti million doller pay days with hopkins, cunnigham are there as green would neva dream of fighting them or have the pulling power..

Guess you missed Tarvers last fight, he looked overweight and shot. This is just a payday for Tarver, he needs the money. Its the same reason why he jumped up to Heavy and looked horrible in doing so, he thought it would open doors for him to get a shot at the Klit brothers and earn him a big pay day, dont forget Tarver has had finanical problems in the past. Do you think he suddenly sprouted it rich and won the lotto over night after delaring bankrupt a few yrs ago?

Make no mistake, this fights just a pay day for Tarver, he is being to MR Nice guy about it all, doesnt wanna upset the hand that feeds him :hey. What happen to all the trash talk he usually does? Why so much sudden respect for Green when he has only fought one true CW before, Tarver should be trash talkn his ass off if he was seriouse.

Its going to be a glorifyed sparring session, nothing more imho. Tarver poses no threat to Danny, watch his last fight and tell me otherwise.

cheers for the vid. Indeed for me there is nothing in that vid that indicates to me that Tarver would give Green a Huge deal of trouble and problems.

Well T.C i can see why the Aussie forum thinks your a ****,with your constant whineing about Greeny.
Is it because of your woefull amature career, that never took off? Or the fact that you cheat on your wife and brag about it on esb.
Naaa dont take it to heart t.c im only kidding, but i still think your a wanker, thanks for taking the time to read this post.

Of that there's no doubt. Tarver is a career light heavy who unified titles at that weight.

    Plainly heavyweight didn't suit him.

At this point in his career though, cruiser should suit him down to the ground, and it'll be a very different Tarver at cruiserweight to the one who fought at heavyweight.

i think tarver is a very proud guy and hes jumping at the chance to beat the guy who beat roy jones jr, that to me is his main motivation for the fight, everytime hes interviewed he brings it up and brags about it , you can see that he has this huge inferiority complex about roy and he wants to one up him.

Not sure an appendix operation is a serious medical condition. I think green played it up a bit. The hospital staff denied his version of events too and had a different explanation.

As for him crying that his career was in grave doubt....was too funny LOL. Only danny was saying his career was in grave danger, the doctors certainly Weren't...they said he'd be back to 100% health.

It reeked of attention seeking drama.

I'm certainly no doctor, but I know there are different degrees of danger associated with appendix operations depending on how bad the appendix in question is.

Was Green's a serious medical condition? Who'd ever really know? The way it was reported, particular early in the piece, it sounded like it was.

I had my own appendix out years ago and it sure slowed me down for quite a time.

Did team Green milk his op for media milage? - yes, I think they probably did.
