That interview with Jeff was pathetic. Jeff suggests the $100M figure could be for Manny and Floyd to split. As if Floyd negotiates with promoters on behalf of his opponents. Instead let's give Floyd the benefit of the doubt that he wants $100M for two fights. How would the $ breakdown for the Spaddy and Pac fights go? Unless Floyd fights a live body that could generate solid PPV revs, it would appear even this theory still leaves Floyd pricing himself out.
This is the easy tune-up fight Floyd is looking for. Its 12 rounds of sparing a supposedly hard to hit southpaw but with little punching power so no real threat or damage. Spadafora's 45-0 record looks good on paper to those who don't realize that he's not had a real fight in 8+ years. Floyd likes fighting someone with no losses on their record, it makes him look good when he easily wins which he will here. Embarrassing sparing match of 10 years ago avenged!
Spadafora was a good little fighter...he had some skills...the last time I saw him was against Dorin, I think...both guys had cuts over both eyes... ...FMJ would kill Spaddy now.
Although i think Manny can attract more PPV buys than Mayweather, i dont think this will pass up Floyd and Mosely... When Mosely fough Mayweather many (myself included) though that he might pull it off or at least gave him a great shot.... Well he was dominated by Floyd and couldnt beat Sergio Mora... I am not even really exicted for this fight... Unlike last years match with Mayweather... Even casual fans no Mosely is past it and is most likely gonna get whupped.
the sad part is Floyd will get 8 figures for a fight like this when you got championship calibur guys at the lower weights killing themselves in the ring for a few thousand.
