    Are there any examples where an older, slower, and shorter boxer earned a decision with no knockdowns over a younger, faster, and taller boxer when both fighters were in the top 10?

    I would think they would be rare.

    Duran-Leonard instantly springs to mind. I wouldn't say he "outboxed" Leonard, but otherwise it fits quite well. Another shout is McCallum-Toney II. Of course, McCallum wasn't shorter and it's probably a reach to say he outboxed Toney, but he certainly befuddled him.

    Well, I edited my post and also included McCallum-Toney II, even if that fits less well. But MAB-Morales III? Wasn't Barrera the older of the two?

    Not slower then pavlik though, i thought Hopkins still retained his hand speed, at least in that match he looked awfully fast for his age.

    Probably not top 10,

    but Jesse James Leija schooled a very hyped young prospect Bojado when he was on the rise, and it fits the other criteria. I don't know if they were both in the top 10, but I think 1 may have been...I dont remember.

    The slower thing is mighty debateable in that 3rd fight tho, it was difficult to tell who was faster in fights 2 & 3... EM looked a tad faster in fight 1 tho but he got the decision so that rules that out.

    Yes, I think I can help you out here Old Pal ,it was April the 5th 1915 , the first 20 rounds of the Willard Johnson fight.
