BBC, ITV and ESPN have no interest in Boxing.

    That's not true..

Malignaggi being the opponent had absolutely nothing to do with him being on Sky. It was all to do with a Contract not being reached, and when there still wasn't one, FW took that date and made his Mitchell/Kats bill. I know that much.

    Okay mate, your opinion.

Is it as simple as Sky not choosing to show the fight though? Surely the other channel Froch has been on have some rights to his fights?

sky wanted to double mitchell vs katsidis with khan vs someone. they wernt happy with mallignaggi as he is boring and did **** numbers even with hatton.

so the offer they made wasnt very high.

Hennesey is useless no doubt but here's the thing. We're not informed of negotiations and figures but fat Mick is. He'll know exactly what Haye and Khan are taking in. Is he going to be asking for an unreasonable sum/deal? I doubt it.

SKY have really screwed the pooch with Froch. Every one of his last 5 fights have been PPV worthy (Dirrell maybe the exception, not Carls fault though).

If they had put Froch in the lime light from the Pascal fight he'd be doing good numbers by now, even against Johnson.

Haye still gets the exposure after the Valuev/Harrison fights, there's no justice.

If the opponent was Maidana would they have been able to agree a contract? :think

If it was on at a decent time then sky would have picked it up IMO but going off at 4am means it stands too much of a chance of flopping, sky know this.

It would have to be a huge fight for sky to fork out for a 4am PPV and Froch vs Johnson isn't a huge fight to casual fans.

I'd imagine with another opponent they may have had it signed, but just as important was the start time. Malignaggi UK time and I think Sky make more of an effort to get it.

Froch on primetime is done on a fight by fight basis. He isn't tied to them at all.

Rob, Sky put on Khan/***an as a PPV... ***an.....

The opponent was nothing to do with it. Trust me on that. If I could find you the article, it would say that because Khan is no longer with FW, he has no Contract with Sky.

Oh, and if their offer wasn't very high, then why would Amir's team go to ITV for free? :huh Surely, regardless of whether the offer being lower, you'd still go to the Station where you'd at least get some dosh and a more wide-stream exposure to Sports fans (Sky Sports), would you not?

Obviously, there's things I don't know. I'm just a fan, and I doubt you can go much into that either, but I'm fairly certain that Malignaggi being the opponent was nothing to do with it.

I can understand that, but at the end of the day, it was Froch's fault for not seeing what's right in front of him. He should have gone with a promoter that could have got him on Sky long long ago. That really is his fault.

Also, we still don't know the reason as to why it was rejected. It may be nothing to do with the offer being given. We're yet to find out.

And you're a complete bias with absolutely no common sense. Also, this is coming from the man who is from Nottingham himself.

I love Froch, but be realistic mate.

That ppv was pacquiao-de la hoya with an english leg including khan, harrison-rogan etc. Khan was in no way the main attraction in that ppv :nut
