Well he won't be fighting Mayweather or Pacquiao so I'm struggling to see too many huge fights out there at either weight.

I would just much rather watch Froch have two or three too quality barnstormers than watch Khan's one-dimensional flurries and back-tracking when someone tags him.

Just bump the Haye PPV, he'll find an excuse not to fight Klitschko soon.

Give Froch all the ££££ rather than that fraud.

Yep, great fight, although I think it will prove to be an exception when Khan retires( which ironically could be around the same time as Froch). Maidana made it a great fight imo, and Khan won't be having too many more of them as he'll either get sparked or(more likely) start fighting even more cautiously when he fights the likes of Bradley. I don't think he has any more of those fights in him without being seriously damaged, short-term and long term. Such scraps are regulation for Froch, but earth-shattering for Khan.

    This is an outrage.

Froch just doesn't get the credit he deserves but when we look back on this guys career were gonna miss him and Sky have surprised me with this decision. I don't like it in the slightest but life moves on Froch has always done it the hardway.

Stupid decision from Sky. Love him or hate him, Froch is entertaining.

The only logical reason I can think of is that Sky don't want to invest too much into a boxer of his age. How many more fights has he got left in him? Sky seem to prefer younger fighters like khan, degale who will be around for some time.

Anyway, I prefer showtimes commentary and analysis

Why do people think Sky "Invest". Just because other foreign networks might do these things it doesn't mean others do.

Every boxing event that occurs with a major name (I'm not talking about the lower levels) on SKY does so within the parameters of that single event. They don't ever think "We'll do this even though the return won't be great because in X fights time we..", it doesn't happen like this. The only time they will do something of that nature, is when a fight is at least partially agreed and due to be shown on SKY and the fight they are showing will directly promote this, such as.. you might get SKY showing Bradley - Alexander in order to build up their own interest.

What you won't get is "Let's put Froch on. It might not do great but our boxing fans will see it.. which will help us build up his final bout", or "Put X fighter on SKY PPV date because he's due to fight Mayweather soon".

The reason is boxers themselves. You might get a fight in which they take a battering and never fight again. They might unexpectedly never box again.. Imagine shuffling and modifying your boxing schedule or paying over the odds to put on Naseem - Calvo (I'm not stating this happened), with the expectation that you are getting perhaps a Barrera rematch and generate huge amounts of revenue.... OR they might suddenly ditch their promoter, get into a legal dispute with promoter.... Such as how SKY lost Khan last time when he left Warren.

All these things means when you are a broadcaster such as SKY you cannot plan/invest anything in boxing at the world level, because you don't know what is going to happen, especially with the sums of money involved, and the lack of money available to begin with
