Groves busts up Dirrell in sparring

Excellent sparring, he is simliar in the way that he boxes and moves alot..(even run) which he did against Froch and he's at world level.

DeGale is also a boxer who will be running on the night as Groves will be the aggressor, so Id say it very good preparation.

I hope he sparks DeGale out, might even make him talk better. :good

See i dont think Degale will run he will know that groves is a lot better on the front foot than when going backwards. I think Degale will try to take the centre make groves miss and force him back.

When's DeGale ever run anyway? He's probably one of the most aggressive fighters in Britain.

 

Groves best work is when at long range and coming forward. Once forced onto back foot he's **** and we know that no can say any different and it's no disgrace just a fact. DeGale would be stupid to just back up or stand at range and allow Groves to tee off. If he steps to him i don't see Groves having great short punches other then nice hook to body other then that his best works at long range.

 

Groves right hand is pretty weird. Anyone noticed that?

 

What type of sparring do you guys think Degale should get in as preparation for groves?

 

Noticed anytime a fighter feints with front foot he resets using step back and then step to right. He got some terrible habits..

 

I think Froch could imitate Groves quite well.

Might come in handy for Carl to be facing a dirty **** in preparation for (hopefully) Ward later this year.

 

Thats a great shot with regards to the stance although Froch doesn't do the movements Groves does but that's cos he understands why he does things but it's top class sparring and gets him used to hard shots which i always feel is needed in sparring prior to a fight with someone with a decent dig.

 

The way Robin Reid was loading up his right hand on Wednesday reminds me a bit of Groves too

Really you need someone that likes going for a jog and loves planting his feet and throwing those rights.....

Maybe DeGale should spar with Khan for a couple of rounds then get Froch in there!

i wonder what act he put on. probably make up, allowing him to pull out of the next round with groves.
