Loving these straight lefts, they're stellar. 40-36 YJ. Nice head movement at the end of the round.

Jhonson looks very good. But I wanna see him show more fire and KTFO of Guttierez. I wanna see him unload some combos and try to get the Colombiano out of there. Not to just be content with an Olympic-Style win by out-pointing Gutti

Yeah, I kinda figured that it was by design. A bit eccentric, I think.

Jhonson mixing up his punches well having no problem finding his various head and body targets. Looking good.

    Round 5

Jhonson keeps harpooning Gutierrez with solo left hand leads. Getting a bit looser now, spinning his left fist while popping the right jab; borderline showboating but not getting out of control. He just seems bored, as Gutierrez is clearly not on his level and has nothing new to offer. Gutierrez keeps coming forward and taking his licks like a man. NASTY 1-2 by Jhonson. Lead left through the gloves by Jhonson. Great quick leg movement by Jhonson. Gutierrez traps him in a corner and slams his fists against his body and Jhonson goes down, but it's a slip. Jhonson still decides to get on his bike for the rest of the round, while Gutierrez gallops after him and lunges low with his jab. Gutierrez finally catches up to him just before the bell and tries to dig in a hard right hand to the body but gets clinched.

    50-45 yudel jhonson

I think it's just that you so rarely see someone come forward applying pressure but staying alert on defense. It's refreshing, and makes you want him to be really good...but...he just isn't. :yep

In this case, it's coming down to "good D vs. better O".

A way Jhonson can make a quik 1000 or 2000 fans (the fans in the arena) is if he unloads and KTFO of Guttierez.

    Round 6

Jhonson is still coasting a bit, with even less urgency now than in previous rounds. Gutierrez is hulking up a bit, his shoulders heaving as he comes forward, very tense. Jhonson is easily swat-parrying jabs, and staying on the outside to pick Gutierrez off with left hands. Gutierrez tries to pull straight back from the punch, and Teddy Atlas correctly calls him on the blunder. Gutierrez tries to confuse Jhonson by taking a big sideways step toward him and then bursting upward with a left hook/uppercut hybrid. It doesn't land.

    60-54 Jhonson

That was the closest thing to a Gutierrez round, based on Jhonson mostly going out to lunch.
