By Scott Gilfoid: WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) isn’t all that impressed with IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (28-0, 23 KO’s), and notes the 31-year-old Bute still hasn’t fought anyone yet that you would consider impressive in his 8-year pro career.

he forgets his confrontation with magee too readily, both fighters have changed and improved a lot since that hall show encounter 5 years ago. magee was in the form of his life leading up to the bute fight, 45 years old or not. trust me on this, its a fact.

Bute is unbeatable. Even when you knock him out you lose.

Froch needs to worry about his own career. If he wins the Super 6 he'll get his shot at Bute. And I'm rooting for Froch. I'd actually be rooting for Glen Johnson but I don't think he has a realistic shot.

Froch is planning on winning the S6 and fighting Bute not long after that, so getting in his head now is an investment.

If and when they fight, Froch can't choose to box like he did AA. He doesn't have that edge in defensive movement so to block or counter Bute's sneaky body punches who work extremely well against orthodox fighters. He'll try to brawl in an attempt to hit a home run at some point, and Bute might test his body, possibly his chin pretty hard. Bute is basically all wrong for Froch, and there's a chance Froch knows it hence the intimidation/dismissal.
