Not a good month for mis hermanos cubanos. Maybe Gamboa can change that tommorrow, err today. Or maybe not.
No, no, I think on the contrary, it is a good month! I think there is much more to learn from defeats than from victories. Lara was dressed to go to the party, he learned no fight is a party.
:think I hear ya, I hear ya. Just like Solis was dressed up for calle ocho last weekend. He picked the wrong dance partner Ill tell you that much brotha.
He has been apathetic in the ring for quite some fights now. Those first round KO's did him more harm than anything else.
After seeing Lara stink up the joint last night. I would take Alvarez by decision. If you put Alvarez in there instead of Molina. Lara would have gotten shut out, fighting like he was fighting. Alvarez is far more hittable then Molina is, but a much stronger puncher like Alvarez would have Lara in that shell all night. Lara will definitely be a threat though in a few more fights, that is if he continues to progress.
Many great fighters cameback from defeats or setbacks, some more brutal than others. With fighters like floyd carrying the torch you have to have an 0 on your record automatically makes you great doesnt help either. Martinez, Sanchez, Pacquiao, Arguello, Hopkins are but afew that overcame early failures. Lets see how Lara performs next time.
Weak ass Kermit Cintron would beat all 3 of them. And after he beats them he'd jump out of the ring as a celebration. Boricua!
What's this about Lara falling asleep? Sounds to me like something a commentator must've said in the fight and all of you are just repeating it on here. I don't quite get what that means??
Lara was lethargic and apathetic. He attacked in shorts bursts and then he would go in his shell, which is excellent, but he used way too often. He wasn't hit a lot, specially the head, but his output was slow. He reminded me of a cat playing with string.
Lemieux would kill both of them on the same night and then use Chavez Jr. as a toothpick if he has some time left.:hey
