Thats exactly what i thought, and why i asked the question. Seems pretty strange Jones saying something like that, i thought there might be some Sal footage i havn't seen that others seen shades of Jones in.

Altho he did go on to say Sal always came ready to fight an stuff along them lines, maybe thats what he meant by styled.

Jones didn't have a great chin either. I am not sure Jones could hit Hearns that clean. Most guys who hit him clean had to sacrifice taking a punch to get there.

at 160? I think he would outbox Leonard in a tough enough fight for Jones. He would easily outbox Duran. Hearns is a tossup with Jones at 160, and Hagler would beat Jones by late knockout.

Roy is an ATG but he did use some crafty selection of opponents and really picked the low hanging fruit as far as title tries and defenses.

I think Pac is up there with him during your time.

jones has said sanchez is his one of his favorite fighters on many occasions. i don't see much resemblance in their fighting styles except for the fact that they were both incredible. jones said he admired sanchez because he was so versatile and considers sanchez one of the greatest fighters ever.

Im 31 & he`s certainly up there as 1 of the best, personally I think Chavez, Whitaker & Mayweather all have an edge on him due to being more complete.

Nobody is unbeatable, some era`s are easier to dominate in than others thats all... even Robinson lost once vs Lamotta when in his 20s... avenging the loss 5 times & being outweighed is another issue, he still lost.

    90s between Whitaker & Pac ? :huh
The 90s were between Whitaker & Jones !
Pac never did **** in the 90s to be compared with those 2 or even Chavez who had his best yrs in the 80s.

I agree with him, Sanchez was 1 of the most complete fighters of all time.
