Last time Spadafora beat a top 10 fighter was 02... surely this fight CAN'T happen!

    Nah Clottey beat better op it's reflected in their rankings. Clottey was 5th (I think) Spadafora is 95th, different ballpark completely.

    Clottey was ranked top 5 at welter. He had beaten Judah, and pushed Cotto and Margo to tough decisions. That was a legitimate fight between two top 5 welters. Hell, Clottey is still a tough opponent for anyone today.

    How the **** do you compare him to Spadafora who hasn't beaten anyone of note in 8-10 years since he was a lightweight? He hasn't beaten anyone decent at welter period. He wouldn't be a legitimate opponent for Matthew Hatton.

    I remember when matt hatton was being seriously talked about as an opponent, then Floyd fought Mosley

    I get the feeling that team Mayweather will do the same thing this time around

    Give it a rest big nose I have no attention paying for this fight so it doesn't effect me in the slightest.

    The fact remains that a lot of people made a big deal about this sparring session and had a lot of fun threads with it. The fact that if this fight did take place they would use the same hype you used in those threads to sell the fight to the casual fan.

    Isn't it ironic? Lol

    That's a pathetic response then. :-(

    If you're a boxing fan and not just a Floyd or Pac fan, then you care about who the top 2 p4p fighters face for the sake of boxing, and for the sake of watching great fighters.

    To treat Floyd vs Spadafora the same way you would treat Floyd vs Cotto or Pac vs Mosley is indefensible. Floyd vs Cotto isn't as good as Floyd vs Pac and Pac vs Mosley isn't as good as Floyd vs Pac, but since that fight simply isn't happening, those fights are good alternatives for boxing and for boxing fans.

    Floyd vs Spadafora, p4p#2 vs guy who hasn't beaten a top 10 ranked fighter for NINE YEARS, that is a whole other world of disgrace for boxing and for boxing fans.
