Big looping right hand from Nagaev out of the gate. Vicious uppercuts on the inside by Rahimov. Body flurry by Nagaev. Rahimov jabs, jabs, jabs. Rahimov lands an overhand right while Nagaev is hitting him in the body. Nagaev is an excellent body puncher, just seems to be a soft puncher. Ooh, nasty right cross to the face by Rahimov. Nagaev keeps rallying back and digging low. Slapping overhand right across the brow by Rahimov. NASTY body shots by Nagaev, if he had more power he'd be making Rahimov literally **** his wee little underpants. 1-2 from Nagaev. They lean together and Nagaev pushes off. Nagaev fighting a smart, "tall" fight - repeatedly clinching and pushing off to get off briefly. Nagaev landing well and mixing head & body. Rahimov is just leaning and not punching. A couple of uppercuts from Rahimov. BIG exchange. Rahimov lands a jab.

Nagaev round, although Rahimov had some very big punches.

Watching this, you'd think it was the other guy with 5 losses.

 

I missed that! I reported earlier they were both 21-0. Guess not..

 

Damn, this is a great fight.

 

Round 6

Nagaev rows his oars sat Rahimov's head. Rahimov lands a good right cross. Another. REALLY good punch for him. So is the uppercut, which he plants on Nag's chin. Nagaev is getting worked right now. Nagaev flurries but is getting popped with one big shot at a time by Rahimov coming forward. Nagaev tries a 1-2 but gets countered, and their arms flail together with neither getting hit. Rahimov lands another uppercut. Left hooks and uppercuts to the chin landing for Rahimov. Leaning, but no clinch as they push off. Nagaev tries to get some body punches going. Rahimov backs away, then zips back inside to start punching. BIG right hands to the jaw by Rahimov. Nagaev tries to mount a rally but can't steal it.

It's the Premier Sports broadcast. For whatever reason they had to switch to thier coverage. Only makes one wonder why they didn't use this one to start with? haha.

When had 2 choices earlier, I chose no commentary....lol.

 

Round 7

Rahimov hooks his way in, and catches Nagaev a couple of times. Lots of leaning, and Nagaev gets some body punches off. Rahimov is trying to upjab but is getting brushed off by Nagaev's long arms.

There's that rapier wit of the British. "Neither is likely to be challenging Juan Manuel Marquez any time soon". :roll:

Nagaev is landing some two punch combos upstairs. He's the only one working at the moment. Rahimov then comes on and does better. That is pretty much the story of the fight: when they're on the outside and Rahimov actually works, he wins. When he takes time off, or when Nagaev leans on him and works the body, Nagaev wins.

Slight edge to Rahimov this round, pulling away.

****, I'd hate to be a judge on this fight. Some of these rounds it's not fair to score to either guy.

Just back and forth, with legit shots landing.. you can't ask for more than this.
