I believe some people underrate tyson as they go as far as saying that he is the most overrated fight of the last 20 years :huh
However there are some people who sort of overrate Tyson and say on his best day there was noone that could stop him.
At the very peak of his career that is, do you think there is any heavyweight that would be able to control the storm and defeat tyson?
    If so, who? :think

I honestly don't believe he would beat Sonny Liston, Muhammed Ali and George Foreman on their best days.

Id ride with a prime tyson against anyone and not think twice. That guy was beyond a beast. People say everyone is "overratted" now a days. My brothers friend told me yesterday mj was overratted. I almost slapped the little kobe fan...

It's not far fetched because he had all the physical tools. Ready and focused there is no reason to think he couldn't beat ATGs. I see guys like prime Holyfield or Foreman always giving him trouble but no reason to say he couldn't do it.

impossible to know...but Liston was slow....tyson would eat him alive....he hit hard but Liston is more legend than anything now...whats the biggest win on Listons resume? Floyd Patterson? a 190 pound scared fighter? most people on his resume are unknown even back then..scattered with a few names....cant count how many of the guys Liston kod with 14 losses or more at that point

Still bigger than anyone on Tyson's resume. :bart Two first round knockouts over a top 25 heavyweight of all time is cool man.

As you say though, we'll never know thats just what I believe in man.

    Could he? Yes.
    Would he? No.

If both fighters were at their best over 3 fights I'd favour Holyfield, Foreman and Ali to take 2/3. Louis and Lewis flip a coin, 1/1/1?

Possible but unlikely. Still though, insane speed, power, and skills, what a freak.

The fans that underrate Tyson and judge him based on his fights after he got out of prison are the simple minded clowns. Usually they would come with comments like "Tyson runs out of gas in four rounds" or stuff similar.

Tyson in his prime gives ANYONE pure hell if not knock them out. Ali most likely beats him but it won't be easy, Liston is 50/50 and Foreman is also 50/50. I wouldn't easily pick anyone over prime Tyson.

Yeah I should have been clearer. What I mean is if you stick him in with other ATGs he's got the tools to do it, but in succession he'd lose a couple.

On his day he could beat anyone but then so could Ali, Foreman, Lewis etc.

You say on Tyson's best day but is it also his opponents best day? If so then no I don't think he would beat everyone.

  15. no way in hell , the general public overate tyson the esb forum underate him , for me he sits up there with some of the best but tyson at his best isnt good enough to beat the like of holmes foreman ali at there best
