My scorecard was 115-111 for Hearns. What did you guys have? I really thought the draw was a BS decision.

I can't remember if I had it 115-114 or 114-113 for Hearns, but I think your scorecard is a bit wide. That was a very close fight, and far from a robbery.

I had Hearns by a point, as I recall.

He had the two knockdowns, but I remember a clear as day 10-8 round for Leonard in there, which makes my card closer than most. Hearns was the boss early, but he was falling apart late. I thought he nicked it, but close fight.

I'd like to know how Ray would have scored it, as he's said himself on camera that he considers Tommy the rightful winner of their rematch.

I had Hearns ahead, I though he clearly won with the 2 KDs if I remember correctly

Asked Ray Leonard personally about this, actually.

He told me, and I don't think he was lying, "When the final bell rang, my first thought was, I ran out of rounds. I had him, but it took me too long."

After hearing that, I interpreted he didn't really have a score, just thought he was down and ran out of time as he was closing the gap.

That's pretty much what happened. It was a poor (old) man's version of their first fight, with 12 rounds instead of 15. A good indication of how a 12 round fight between the two may have went in their primes.

Agreed, A, and I think both of their fights are a good indicator that Ray was most likely always gonna get the better over 15. No way Hearns makes it one more round in that rematch.

I hate Leonard and Tommy is my second favourite fighter of all time, but because of ten point must, this fight was mighty close.

I had it 113/112 to Tommy, sadly you have to give the 12th 10/8 to SRL, it is the standard for a 10/8 no knockdown round.
