when jr fought molina 5 yrs ago, he got shitted on for not ko'ing him, and having two tought fights with him....now we have this cuban super star who just had a draw with the very same guy, and everyone is silent ????

Many of them still have that amateur fighting mentality where you just throw silly punches just to score some points. It's not easy for them to make the transition from amateur to pro's after being in the amateurs for so long, many of them have 200-400 amateur fights and still can't adjust to the pro style.

 

First and all, Lara is not a super star and Jr got a gift, a draw was a fair dec. and I don't know who thought that Lara was going to win easily but whoever did has never seen Molina fight, Lara should had won that fight but he was not busy enough, he will learn or if not he will fall behind but imo this Cuban has what it takes to whoop some a$$ and became a Champ, Freddy I had read your post before and you have nothing nice to say about Cubans fighters not that we need you to say anything nice, we want you to keep the work that you are putting in, bad mouthing Cuban fighters.

dude was an amazing amateur, and had about 4 pro fights when people were already saying he would clean out 154.....they said he would ko angulo, clown chavez, and make kirkland look like an amateur.....:-(

Carlos Molina is a good fighter and has beaten a few prospects who looked at him as an opponent or tough Journeyman... Hes dangerous and is capable of beating some top 10 guys.... Erislandy Lara is not hype just fought a tough guy and will still be a top JM in the near future.

Molina is kind of like an Ishe Smith type of opponent. Opponents with a few losses and underrated.... I bet you dont see young prospects choosing them as "Opponent" types anymore.
