Dan Rafael's twitter.... It's official: Carl Froch vs. Glen Johnson Super Six semifinal will take place right here in the Adrian Phillips Ballroom at Boardwalk Hall Deal for Froch-Johnson was made Friday night, according to Ken Condon, who books the fights for Caesars. Perfect room for that figh. Froch-Johnson is June 4 on Showtime at Boardwalk Hall's upstairs arena (same site as tonight's HBO fights) ----- So no Canada then. Now hopefully we find out something about UK TV with date and venue decied
Dissapointing. Don't see why it couldn't be over here. Glenn doesn't mind travelling and Frochy deserves a 'homecoming'.
If it does end up on sky it will have to be just regular sky because obviously wouldnt sell as a ppv on its own even with the undercard, would need to be doubled with a strong uk card which isn't gonna happen on June 4th. If Sky had any vision they would be willing to take a hit on this knowing that Froch will probably win setting up a potential fight with Ward which would definetley be ppv.
I dont blame Froch at all. He probably has more fans in the US and Canada than he does here plus he is being shown love by Showtime whereas he is insulted by UK TV. Although I think Johnson may be a surprise and cause an upset
Froch has always been the consumate pro, always focuses on himself and not the opponent. He will respect Johnson but he won't be caught on the hop. Too much at stake.
there you go sky get in there froch wins this on a well promotee sky show and his next fight is already in the bag and bigger
Aslong as we all get to see a good scrap it doesn't matter what channel its on. I hope he gets on sky cause he does deserve it. But I'm a selfish fan an I don't care Aslong as I see it!
so this fight will be held infront three men and a dog in NJ, USA and no coverage on Sky great work fat Mick!!
Anyone planning on going to this? Was in ac september last year, saw a teon kennedy fight at ballys whilst there. Get to the tropicana after the fight on the saturday night. Slags ahoy.
Fat Mick should take some of the blame, but the bottom line is that the fight will take place where Showtime want it to. Anyway, it's better than Canada.
