I had been watching boxing a little over 45 years, amateur back in the 60's in Cuba (no headgear, the only difference with the pros were that the wore a shirt and fought for 3 rounds) and late 60's thru now here in the States, and I had seen a lot of strange $hit happening in a ring, I'm rooting for Gamboa but I can't dismiss a solid professional like Solis, as a matter of fact the reason Gamboa has get better is because he had fought good competition in all of his 19 fights, regardless of what the haters said, he has not fought a guy with remotely a losing record and he had made them look stupid in the process, but Douglas was supposed to b KO by Tyson in the first round and that didn't happen, Mantequilla over Backus first fight, didn't happen either, so anything can happen and just because a fighter have God given talent we don't have put down his opponent, a guy that with less natural talent has make up with will and determination.
That was a bull**** stoppage. The ref said in the previous round that if Gamboa hit him behind the head again that he would deduct a point. Well, the punch that put Solis down at the end of the fight was behind the head but the ref did not take a point and instead stopped the fight. Was bull****. I give props to Gamboa for the win, but I do not agree with how the ref handled it.
Who the **** you calling a chump? At least I have the balls to step up and make a prediction. Go take out the trash and clean out your room like your mother told you.
