A few words from, and about, Alfonso Lopez.

"We have to do a lot of things. We have to show that we're ready for this level. I haven't had to show it in my career with a lot of guys I've fought," Lopez said. "But in the gym when I spar world-class fighters I have to. I've gotten away with some of these fights where I've been able to do just enough to win and maybe get a knockout.

"But this is a guy that's on a completely different level of fighters," Lopez said. "He's got more experience than I do. But I think I'm more than ready for it. We're going to fight him smart."

When Lopez refers to the guys he spars with he's mainly talking about Felix Cora and Marcus "Too Much" Johnson.

It'd be premature for me to make much judgement on Lopez yet (I'm lazy on the homework so far).

I do however feel extremely optimistic about his coming back. IMO, from what I've been able to see, things are lined back up right (once again, he's an underdog (for the top fighters anyways)) for this kid to get his mind back and kick some ass.

Lopez is 21-0, and I keep thinking back to what a stone cold killer Pavlik was, and how hungry he was, when he was 21-0. Lopez will come to fight.

Pavlik will be at his highest "in-ring" weight ever, and it will have been over a year since his last fight.

However, we aren't going to see the bloated middleweight we saw in the Hopkins fight. I think KP will carry the weight well, and that this will probably be a short fight.

See I hate to say KP is gonna crush this guy when I don't know **** about him. I see his record there, however I've learned enough in my time to find out who against? before takin' it too seriously.

I really have a good feeling that the stone cold hungry fighter is about to resurface.

the kind of kid I believe Kelly is, with so much respect for his team and family etc, I know it stings ****in' bad when you have to step back and admit I've been wrong and face the humiliation and **** of then having to face the folks you now know you've let down. That **** CAN drive a mother ****er to get hard and make this **** right.... or some lesser driven folks can get overwhelmed by all that **** and sink even deeper into thier problem than they had ever been before.

I believe KP gonna have that kind of drive.

Yes -- you do need to say more. If you smell an upset, tell us how Lopez uses his "superb boxings skills" and his "monsterous power" to make your prediction come true.

Lopez by TKO in the middle rounds. To much drinks destroy a guy. Pavlik will lose.

I haven't seen anything on Lopez' record to suggest he's ready for a huge step-up like this. I'd be surprised at anything other than a comprehensive Pavlik victory.

This is really a joke fight. Funny that this old knuckle head biased Pavlik fan is trying to fool you people as to saying that Lopez is some kind of dangerous opponent for Pavlik come back.:lol::lol: Look at Lopez record and the resumes of opponents he beat lol. This fight is a freaking joke to say the least. Lopez hasn't beat a fighter that is actually good. Put it this way Lopez best win is against freaking old shot Rubin Williams lol. Lopez is nothing to brag about. He ain't dangerous at all.
