Pacquiao doesn't hit that hard. He throws a lot of punches, but he doesn't hit that hard. Gamboa hits very hard," stated featherweight contender Jorge Solis, who moments ago was completely dominated and destroyed by WBA featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa. Down five times in four rounds, Solis was dropped twice in round 2, once in round 3 and two more times in round 4 before the referee called a halt to the action. The dominated performance prompted Solis to compare Gamboa to pound-for-pound champion Manny Pacquiao, who knocked him in eight rounds over four years ago.

Its expected for him to say that. When Gamboa knocked Solis out, Solis was coming in and didnt see the punch coming. When Pacquiao knocked Solis out, Solis was running away and being very tentative because he knew Pacquiao was going for the KO after getting cut.

No Gamboa was getting bounced of the canvas by different shots from the 2nd round to the finish.. Not just that one.. He was hurting Solis with every decent punch he landed.. Pac didnt hurt him till way later, he took pacs power fine in the early rounds.

Wrong, Solis was getting knocked down from counter shots, he wanted to test Gamboa's chin and paid a big price for it.. There was only one KD (the second) which was caused from Gamboa being aggressive and even then it wasnt a clear KD. Solis couldnt be taking Pac's power early because Pacquiao didnt start to throw any meaningful powershots till later. He was trying to work on some new moves but then got cut and Roach told him to quit playing around and take him out. The next 2 rounds Pac started to throw some punches with meaningful intentions in them and knocked him out.

Its irrelevant to be honest, Solis got destroyed by both of them except Gamboa did it quicker.

Gamboa's accuracy is insane though, it was better than Pac's when he was a featherweight

I say yuri delivered more powewrful shots than pac did. BTW, Solis also said after the pac fight that his wife hit harder than pac.

So who hits harder now, yuri or his wife? :yep

I'd say he does hit harder than Pacquiao. This is not the first time people have said so. I mean, even Barrera said that Hamed hit harder than Pacquiao, and I'm inclined to agree. One punch on his nose and he started bleeding from it.

at least some posters here are putting things in the proper context. my your tribe increase. here is what pac said after the fight "He was hard to fight, he’s taller, longer arms, and a lot of head movement … I was taking it easy in the early rounds, but when I got cut, I’m throwing more combinations to knock him out, then he got hurt and was saved by the bell …I want to fight Marquez next,” Pacquiao said afterwards.

pac is a volume puncher, he's no knockout artist...so solis is right about who hits hard...
