best wins = best resume, WTF is that? who has fought the tougher opposition? surely Cotto who has fought Pac, Margarito Clottey,Mosely,Judah Cotto has fought the tougher fights so he has the better resume. what you mean is who has the better record, then its PBF but as far as its resume its Cotto. You idiots are confusing record for resume get it right.
The ref called a break, Gatti was looking at the ref, and Floyd decked him. Horribly illegal hit, and it basically KTFO Gatti. Yeah, he survived the round, but had it not been for that ILLEGAL blow, Floyd could've gained a more convincing win.
REF's fault. He should have separated them physically Thats why you're coach will tell you to keep hitting the guy until the ref gets in between you guys..... It's not the fighters job, its the refs imo
Mayweather - DLH, Mosley, Castillo twice, Corrales, Hatton, Hernandez, Judah, etc. Cotto - Mosley, Judah, Mayorga, Clottey, Quintana, Malignaggi, Foreman, Torres, N'Dou, etc. EASILY Mayweather....and I'm the furthest thing from a Floyd supporter.
Hatton overrated!!! I'm not so sure he was a great fighter a LWW, with wins over Tyszu, Castillo, Urango, Maussa, Lazcano, Maliginaggi. Hattons only problem is there were no other great challenges at LWW so he had to move up out of his weight range. A prime Hatton would rip through Alexander and I think he would get a decision against Bradley, not sure about Khan, his hand speed will cause any fighter problems but his footwork can be exploited. Y do people also always say Collazo beat hatton, lol it was a close fight but Hatton got the nod due the knockdown he scored, granted he more caught Collazo square on so he never hurt him but the punch caused him to go down so the 10-8 rounds gives Hatton the fight by 1 point and he was tiny for a welter weight anyway. He beat all fighters put infront of him apart from 2 of the best in last decade, he was a great fighter.
At 140 and up Cotto has the better resume by a decent margin. From an overall career standpoint, Floyd has the better resume by a decent margin.
Cotto has fought guys that Mayweather wouldn't, namely Margarito and Pac, both rather blatently avoided. Pac is the best around now, Cotto has fought him and Mayweather didn't. Other than that, their resumes are about even.
Yeah, I have some fights myself. I know the dirt. But clearly at 3:26 Gatti bends down defensively, gets an elbow to his neck and Floyd proceeds to hold him down while throwing a hook upper cut. Illegal as fukk. Holding and hitting is one thing, but this is blatant cheating. The ref sees the cheating, must've figured it was incidental, and calls for a stop. Gatti looks to the ref as to say, "that should be a point taken away", as Floyd nails him with a hard "knock you the fukk out" punch. At this point the ref should've stopped the action altogether, consulted Gatti and his corner as to whether they should allow for the fight to continue, and in the least allow Gatti time to recover, mentally and physically. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KCd8GdRzfM&feature=related[/ame] IMO, the fight should've been stopped, and a win via DQ awarded to Gatti, nullifying Floyds bug 0 right then and there. A rematch, and he could easily have avenged his loss, but needless to say, it's that big 0 that's keeps him outta the ring vs Pacman, Cotto, and dare I say, Berto.
