A world title shot ? So who exactly does he fight, Sturm, Golovkin, N'Jikam ? Even the WBA don't know how to sort this mess out.
I don't think it was illness in macs last fight I reckon he was far too complacenent and was startin to believe his own hype- this fight is make or break and he needs to bring his a game
you have misread what I am saying Slap. its an even 50-50 fight in terms of ability but Macklin edges it due to two reasons...so if the fight was in Germany and Gevor has been training for a fight already with Macklin getting at later notice I would favour KG Get what I am saying???
I got what you were saying the first time I just found it interesting that the items highlighted that you feel would tip the fight in Macklins favour had nothing to do with his personal abilities.
As long as Macklin doesn't land something big in the first 4 rounds or so, I think Gevor should win a pretty close decision, barring a robbery, of course.
thats because in terms of ability there on a par, if anything Gevor slightly ahead. it wasn't putting him down. why do you favour Macklin?
This. Macklin makes one too many excuses. I mean, if he feels that his opponent isn't up to his level then he should got out and make a statement (ie: brutally ko or hammer his opponent). The lad is good, but not as good as he thinks he is.
I think it will be a close fight. I wouldnt read much into the Sartison at super and would look more to the Sturm fight. I think it will be one of those that could take place in Phonebox. I've only seen Gevor fight one way and that will suit Macklin who is a more intelligent fighter. Maybe Gevors style looks more simplistic because he has been in better fighters but Macklin just has to be watchful of that ramming left that is equally damaging to head or body. Macklin will have to be far better than he was in his last to but he is a fighter that rises to challenges. I will go with a close Macklin points win.
Macklin wasn't too intelligent against Varon to be fair. Varon was pretty much a poor mans Gevor and instead of fighting smart and using the advantages that he (supposedly) has, he was drawn into an inside fight and didn't really look much the better for it.
Thats a fair point, but only really holds water in you choose not to believe that he was ****ed with a chest infection. From the golf balls of yellowy-green glue I saw him spit up before this video then I would have to say it is a factor. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2rcq6MVdAw[/ame]
