I'm thinking it isn't a check hook because Wlad hooks then moves, rather than hook/move in one motion?

This is just the way I interpret it, otherwise there's a lot of 'check hooks' happening every fight if all it means is you both throw hooks and one fighter evades it while landing, which is just counter-punching isn't it?

    :rofl

    You've actually got issues.

You know full well what I'm talking about - in the original thread you actually tried arguing that Floyd's feet were both planted in the gif - which is clearly bull****. Now in this thread you've stated that Floyd's feet are moving when the hook was thrown - this doesn't mean anything about the hook itself, it just shows what a load if inconsistent **** you spout. How can you argue in one thread that a fighter's feet are planted in a gif (when anyone with eyes can tell that they're not), then in another you've completely backtracked on that opinion?

Not just that, but you've been called out on this bull**** several times in this thread and ignored it - I fully expect you to do the same here.

Also, I Love how your definition on knowledgeabke posters are the ones who agree with you . Pathetic.

If you genuinely think that I actually started this thread purely to get people on Wlad's back you are truly paranoid. Get a ****ing grip of yourself, seriously. For a supposedly fully grown man you have the attitude of a ****ing NSync fangirl.

I didn't even name names when I started the thread as I wasn't going to start a pathetic call out thread and it wasn't anything to do with bad mouthing, it was purely about the interpretation of the punch thrown in the gif. I was actually concerned about people being biased in the poll, which they clearly have - yet apparently the divide in the voting is just between the knowledgeable posters and those who know nothing :-(

    Seriously mate, get over yourself

I say that check hook is a punch thrown by pimp to keep hookers in check. Argue with that

You don't have to hook and move your feet in motion at the same time. Why would that even make sense? You could move your feet at the same time too I guess... if you want... that doesn't mean it is or isn't a check hook. I always always told to throw with your feet planted, then move.

It's simple. CHECK HOOK. CHECK the person aggressively coming at you with your hook before their punch gets to you. You are CHECKING them. Gamboa clearly wasn't punching while moving his feet in motion at the same time either.

Well, I will. That's a pimp slap. Which differs from the ***** slap because it's a stronger slap, and there don't have to be a warning beforehand.

So, this is what your argument has become? Floyd's feet being planted or moving? I cleared that up in the original thread if you would have read.:patsch I said he leaped out of the way earlier because he HAD TO. Hatton was closing in fast. When he LAUNCHED his punch, his feet were planted. You don't know the difference? You act as if it's my job to sit and respond to every question that you throw at me, as you sit there and completely turn your cheek to all of the real talk going on.

The fact that you are so hung up on that... and that you have nothing to say about the current conversation that people have ongoing about check hooks in general... shows me everything that I need to know.

Yeah, I have a clear definition of a knowledgable poster. Go read the actual responses. Please show me an in depth or experience based response that backs the theory that this is NOT a check hook. I think you can easily find those sort of posts that do.

If you are so interested in the truth... why aren't you talking with the posters who are coming up with great points, posts of why it is a check hook, and trying to learn?:think

On the one hand they did trade hooks throughout the fight. So I can see where those who deny come from. On the other hand if you watch the whole episode you can see Wlad backing up firing the jab then momentarily planting his feet and turning following half jab into hook (similar to Jones clip). Perhaps not PBF style but Sam got timed that's for sure.

They threw the punch at the same time and Wlad's landed and Peter's missed then after that Wlad steps back. A real check hook is when you throw the punch WHILE moving and ur usually moving laterally and riding with ur own punch e.i if you throw a left u move left or with throwing a right you move right.

Show me where I said anything about moving your feet.

You're arguing against something I never said and laughing at it. Jokes on you boyo.

    You said:
    :think
You weren't talking about his feet? Oviously he was moving his upper body. That only leaves his feet... which didn't move until directly after he landed the punch. Just like you said.

So, what the hell were you talking about that had to be in one motion?

Stop lying to yourself. What is with you guys?

Jesus. Not the top of the class this one. Ok...

Wlad hooked THEN moved his head. Rather than hook and move your head simultaniously.

Not talking about feet. Talking about head movement.

You need to stop arrogantly attacking opinions that you don't agree with. Clearly this whole check hook business is open to interpretation.

    Sleep time.

Keep on making it up as you go.:good So, now your definition of a check hook is someone who hooks while moving their head at the same time?:rofl

(Which btw, still doesn't make sense because Wlad was swaying back with his upper body and head as he landed his own hook. So, by your new standards... This WAS in fact a check hook.:happy Change your vote immediately!
